D1 got repetitive fairly quickly..... but it was fun. A cool new universe to run around in but I could do what I wanted on my terms and I didn’t have to worry about PvP. I miss that. I’m not even much of a raider at all but when I eventually got to it, VoG wasn’t too daunting. It wasn’t convoluted. It was a Vex mystery and it was pretty fun. I only did it a few times but a group of mostly randoms could complete it in a reasonable amount of time. Raids aren’t like that anymore.
Forsaken was great for the most part. I didn’t really care about the inclusion of Gambit. Played it a bit. It’s ok. Not for me. Sounds like what I didn’t like about it is even more prevelant now. But here we are now with D2. No new strikes. No actual story missions. No real narrative mine to follow. Only activities. No open world updates unless it’s a very minor thing connected to another timed, closed fireteam activity.
This has slowly become not the Destiny I started with and liked despite the flaws. And this season makes me think we’re at the beginning of the end for a lot of us. For those that like universes to run around in and that want to battle enemies together.

Yea im sure you do remember d1 fondly through rose tinted frames, hate to break it to you, but d1 y1 had as many issues as d2 does. But atleast then, it was their game. Now, in d2, its the "communitys" game. People asked for nerfs, got nerfs, complained about nerfs, wanted buffs, got buffs, new meta, and they want nerfs.
