FANTASTIC comment section!
Going to bed now, will post own thoughts later, but feel free to have at it (civilly) here/now. H o T h and Z a r d o z and the like...hopefully....
Echo and kely2 bytching at each other for no reason, perhaps as co-workers in some data center bought-and-paid-for to sow discord and strife on important topics like the polylogist deconstructionalists dey can be sometimes...not so much.
The question can be a bit of a false dichotomy depending on definitions of words and then things break down between people with different definitions so try to define what one means FIRST then explain the thought process.
BBL...G'night!

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/3/2019 8:01:19 PMConcerning morality: There is a difference between someone that doesn’t harm others because they don’t want to, and someone that doesn’t harm others because they fear the repercussions of doing so. Authority distorts morality. ESPECIALLY when there is no demonstrable accountability for the supposed authority. “One of the greatest tragedies of mankind’s entire history may be the hijacking of morality by religion.” - Arthur C. Clarke Some people have empathy and compassion for others. Some don’t. Some people act on that empathy and compassion for others. Some don’t. Most don’t extend it beyond their own personal circumstances. Beyond their own personal connections. Beyond their own brief time here. It is what it is, but no amount of fear and rule following makes one moral.
