Let me start this off by saying that I have more than enough hours sunken into Warframe on PS4. I got several frames including Nekros prime and Volt prime. Tried out all sorts of weapons. I reached something like Mastery Rank 8 or 9. Anyways off we go:
Warframe, to me at least, is a crap feast of a game that is given too much praise that what it's actually worth. It is pay-2-win, unbelievable grind, crappy content updates, and pretty unwelcoming to new players.
So the one thing that I've seen all over forums and comments is: "Warframe isn't pay-2-win" and my retort is BULLSHIT. While you can obtain 99% of items in game through grinding, you can quite easily speed that up by buying platinum and just buying weapons and most frames in an UPGRADED state, bypassing material and craft time requirements. Hell you can skip the entire grind if you wanted to and just straight up buy materials. So yeah, pay to win.
Next up we got the grind. Oh boy where to start? How about with the Frames themselves. Every frame, excluding ones obtained through quests, you have to collect three different blueprint parts, each with there own drop rate. So let's say you want to get frost, the ice warframe. To do it, ya need to grind out the Mars mission "War" until you get each blueprint. But here's the catch: you only get one piece each time. And you can get duplicates! So you could run the mission ten times straight and still not all three(Though this would be highly unlikely). And getting new master ranks is beyond a chore. To get the exp for it, you have to level up frames, weapons, etc. So heres the "cycle" you have to go through: get weapon/frame/equipment blueprint. Build said blueprint. Take it out and level it up. Once it reaches max, either sell it or keep it in your limited inventory cause ya like it. Rinse and repeat. It never ends. Material collection ranges from piss your pants easy to "holy shit why won't this stuff drop". Endgame made me want to bang me head against something.
And now we come to the updates. Just two words: THEY SUCK! Granted they are free, but you hardly get anything at all. Let's take one of the most prevalent ones in recent years: Plains of Eidolon. This came out when I was still playing and I was stocked. Partial open worlds with archwings and places to explore?? It be just like a destiny patrol area. But boy was I wrong. Outside of the plains, only like 3 or so new weapons where added, we got ONE new frame for this massive, and ONE new quest that was simply just for getting the new frame and could be completely in just a few hours if that. The plains sucked too. If ya wanted to go out there, you either had to go solo or buddy up. There was no going out there and running into rando players and doing shit together. There where hardly any places to really explore. And the whole place was TINY. You could cross the entire map in an Archwing in less then a minute. And a lot of the same stuff can be said about other updates too. There has never been a single update to add more than one frame or a large new arsenal of weapons. They're so miniscule in size that you could miss one and nothing would have changed in the game.
And finally we have to unwelcoming environment for new players. Outside of basic gameplay tutorials, like how to jump, move, and shoot, there are zero tutorials into many of the complex mechanics to the game. It doesn't tell you want different damage types are and what works against what, how to become better at the movement mechanics, and so on and so forth. The early game grind can easily push others away.
So all in all, Warframe isn't just bad, it sucks. There's loads more issues that I didn't cover and is just full of them. So please don't download and play something else.
P.S.- to those that read this please give your thoughts and opinions on this and try to spread this post around. I want to generate a good debate on this.
P.S.S.- sorry for any spelling, grammar, amd formatting mistakes, I typed this on mobile.

I just tried to buy materials that are required to complete quests, like Iradite and Golkulum (or some wacky sh*t), but couldn’t find any on the market. Trading exists, but you need to be in a clan for that. I do agree that pay to win exists, but I feel (although I’m a somewhat new player) that it’s balanced with grind stuff, and there’s the one corner that is full of money-paying fools who are a tad lazy. Anyway, there’s a a decent amount of both pay2win elements and grinding elements. The most annoying thing is most likely the parts where you have to have certain things accomplished to get through the game. For example, the junction from Mars to Phobos is a pain, cause you need Phobos to complete the Cetus junction. Once you’re past that, Warframe just splits like the Red f*cking Sea for you. Hopefully this was somewhat helpful to you, and maybe convinces you to go through and see for yourself. Honestly, Warframe is as good as any other game, just gotta have patience with unlocking mechanics.
