Hello, Guardians. This chapter is more for those who haven’t played Destiny 1, as it’s a simplified version of all events. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, and I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 6
Wirven had always looked at the foliage of other worlds. He always wondered what it was like before the Traveller touched it, before humanity had ever discovered the planets. He wondered if the Vex, who had almost killed Nessus, had thought of this place before they created its machines and constructs. They probably hated it, based on the environment around him. He felt that, before every mission, he should go over his accomplishments and achievements. It was always good luck to him.
He started off with the beginning: Khalid, his Ghost, had revived him near the walls of the Russian Cosmodrome, somewhat close by to where The Guardian was revived, he found out later. He first encountered the Fallen, and hated them, even more after learning of the battle at Twilight Gap. This also gave him his view of disgust upon Reef-born Awoken. All of those Guardians, lost… except for that Bray gal on Mars...
He went back on track. After getting to the Tower, located in the Last City of Earth, and got equipped. Everything was history. Defeating the Dark Heart in the Black Garden, one of the major strongholds of the Vex. Him and the Guardian, and their buddy, “Iss”, they called him, a great Hunter. Best Gunslinger since the days of Shin Malphur, first Hunter, they thought anyway. They all later found out that killing the Dark Heart began to heal the Traveller. The Vault of Glass was wiped by their group, because three is better than six, somehow.
They thought that the job was done. Until Eris Morn arrived, and spoke of the threat on the Moon. We thought it was the Fallen. Her appearance, her eyes… said otherwise. She said to us the three Acolyte eyes helped with seeing through her.. “rock”.. Eventually stopping a ritual to bring back Crota, Son of Oryx, who’s generals and armies killed more than half of Eris’ fireteam. Wirven, The Guardian, and “Iss”, along with three other Guardians, codenamed [REDACTED], were- Huh, thought Wirven, I can’t remember their names…
He continued. They killed Crota, and about that time, the Queen of the Reef, Mara Sov, required our debt to be payed. How? Capture and kill the House of Wolves leadership, that betrayed her and the Awoken. They went hunting down Skolas, which is when “Iss” disappeared. They were joined by another Hunter, who never said her name, and she ended up leaving, probably for some “crush”. If only I knew who she was, thought Wirven. Eventually they captured the so-called “Kell of Kells”, and later went and killed him in the Prison of Elders. Variks, the Loyal, who is, as named, loyal to the Queen and her Wrath.
Everything went quiet for a while after killing Skolas. Crucible, a great pass time, where Guardians kill each other (don’t worry! They came back, thanks to Ghosts) to practice against enemies of the Light, was the best option. They took on the Trials of Osiris, and proved themselves worthy of the gifts bestowed upon the greatest warriors of the Crucible. Of course, Wirven and The Guardian went through it, helping others who deserved the rewards.
He remembered getting the call from The Guardian. He said a new Hunter would be joining the fireteam. Her name was Mira. The three Guardians went to Mars’ moon, Phobos, where a Cabal mining site existed, untouched by Guardians. Until the Taken. The lifeless black and white glow, the confusing abilities that the team had to relearn… Wirven still has nightmares. They still exist, even after the defeat of their leader, Oryx. The abominations of the Hive, he thought, ended at the Hellmouth. There was more to it than just Hive. Cabal, Fallen, Vex, even Oryx’s own Hive, changed and transformed creations were always following the Exo wherever he’s been.
He also recalled when him, Mira, and The Guardian went back to Oryx’s Shrine to kill a new leader of the Taken, named Malok. That was a difficult decision, let it live in the Prison of Elders, or kill it and prevent another outbreak of Taken? They apologized to Variks afterward.
The next thing that came around, he heard that Saladin needed us to go to an observatory, an old Golden Age relic of a place which became the home of what is known as the Temple of the Iron Lords, legendary heroes and heroines who were the first of those given the Light. They defeated ruthless warlords, who were also Risen. Then the Lords of Iron found SIVA, ancient Golden Age tech capable of creating a civilization, or, which is what happened, the deaths of hundreds of Iron Lords. The Fallen sect called Splicers, of the House of Devils, based on Earth, had found this technology. The Splicers used the tech for bioengineering and weapons upgrading. The threat was mostly dealt with by Wirven, The Guardian, and Mira by themselves. Destroying the remains of the Iron Lords, infected with SIVA, along with its replication chamber, has stopped the immediate threat.
The three Guardians, along with the other three unnamed Guardians, went and killed the Splicer’s Archon Priest, enhanced with SIVA.
After that, there was nothing to be done. The Dawning came around, and they listened to stories about an old tale called “Christmas”, or what some called “X-Mas” for some reason. They went around with their standard armor and gave out presents and gave hope to those of the Last City by protecting them.
This didn’t last for long, however. The Guardian radioed in to Wirven and Mara, while they were scouting out a new place in the Cosmodrome, even though they were going to be in trouble, to fly as fast as they could: the Tower and the Last City were under attack. Wirven thought it was the Fallen, they attacked again! Mira believed it was the Hive, they are our main nemesis, after all. Finding out it was the Cabal surprised them both, but Wirven knew it was obvious: after killing Oryx, they investigated a Cabal SOS message sent to the Consul, the leadership, of the Cabal. The message was given to the Vanguard to analyze and predict, but nothing. If I had known then what I knew at the fall of the Tower…
He digressed. He has slain Dominus Ghaul, he killed the Red Legion leadership, alongside his fellow Guardians. They slew Panoptes, a reality killing Vex Mind capable of, well… They slew the Hive God Xol, and kept the Warmind Rasputin alive. Wirven was worried when the Golden Age A.I. declared itself separate from the Vanguard and the Traveller, but realized he wasn’t threatening the City. Then Mira, she…
Ana Bray broke a rule as a Guardian: never look into your past. When one gets revived, they lose most of their memory. Most. They are new people, making new names and going to new places never gone before. Mira was inspired by Ana, most likely, to follow her visions at night and the hints at a past unknown. Mira, if only you would’ve followed the rules, we wouldn’t be hunting you down on Nessus, of all places, Wirven thought.
He powered down the ship, prepared for enemy attacks and got his Radiolaria blocking shields charged. He began to look at the foliage again, and remembered he had already done his checklist. Guess I need some extra luck, he thought.
One thing before I go, please, let me know if you have a character that you haven’t had time to use, or one that you want to crossover. You may be surprised how well they could fit in my story...
Anyway, thanks for reading, and I want to thank those who have read this far. This is the first story I have dedicated to finishing, and I hope you all are behind me on it. Thank you, guys.

Good recap. I have some corrections, though.
Khalid, his Ghost, had revived him near the walls of the City, somewhat close by to where The Guardian was revived.
The Guardian was revived outside the Cosmodrome. The Cosmodrome and the City are two different places. There is no confirmation of where the City is, but most of the most likely options aren’t even in Russia.
Defeating the Dark Heart in the Black Garden, the only major stronghold of the Vex.
The Black Garden was not the only Vex stronghold. The Vault of Glass, Mercury, Nessus, the Citadel. And that’s only what’s in our solar system.
Crota, Son of Oryx, who killed more than half of Eris’ fireteam
Crota didn’t kill a single member or Eris’s Fireteam. His generals did that.
