I dont get it? RNG edition
Now I might be talking crazy here, it's pretty late and I'm not exactly at peek awareness right now but I have something to say
Why are cosmetics harder to get then... Actual gear that affects how you play the game? Like why is the pinnacle award for resetting your gambit rank a Ghost shell? It's not even that good looking compared to what we can get from Tess and her goodies, and it's not exactly the best incentive. I wouldn't even by trying to get it if it wasn't mandatory for the Dredgen title, and I've been using the same Ghost shell since Destiny 2 launched.
Why is a ship the rare reward for completing shattered throne? It doesn't really change anything other then the loading screen, and shattered throne is a pretty challenging piece of content. Why not a super cool weapon like you have for the nightfall's be the rare reward fo completing shattered throne? The cosmetics should be the easiest to get, that way you make the weapons and armor more desirable because of how exclusive they are
Hell look at before forsaken with the exotic leviathan Ghost shell, why was that the incentive instead of a cool gun or piece of armor?
In conclusion: ships, sparrows, Ghost's and shaders shouldn't be the rarest things go come by. They should be the easiest and the first, weapons and armor should be at the top of the list instead

It is not possible that they (BUNGIE) can not see that the rng is totally broke in relation to the seal ! day after days they are losing players because of this.

1 ReplyI'm one Dreaming City Ghost Shell away from Cursebreaker and have been for a while now, and actually, I'm fine with cosmetics being the rarest things in the game because if it were the other way around with the actual useful and functional items being the rarest, the community would lose their f***ing minds. It's already bad enough with the state of Forsaken exotics. People even bitch and complain about quest lines that give DIRECT ACCESS to some of the best exotics in the game, no RNG involved, unless you wanna count certain skill thresholds (whether it be PvP or PvE skill) that you may struggle to overcome as your own personal gaming ability that the RNG of the universe doled out to you. With all of that said, there should be protections in place to prevent the "hopeless grind" for some of these items, protections such as those implemented for the NF rewards, increasing your chance to get the reward after every attempt.

4 RepliesWell, it works for some of us. I mean guns come last: I still don't have Osprey. I lost count to how many times I actually tried to complete that bloody nightfall, but I still don't have it. Anyone who ran with me got it, some even twice. RNG is so RNG. At least in Jagged Alliance 2 you had chance to whack your opponent and grab a gun from warm live hands in case that game's RNG decided to give you armoured trousers or some helmet instead of Minimi upon killing him. Well, it's hard to be a gambler Betting on the number That changes every time :)

Agree with all but the leviathan ghost shell. That thing was great. The perks are fantastic one of a kind. If it's perks worked for yr 2 exotics it would be the most sought after item in the game.

I want more Fatebringers and more Gjallarhorns, not ships and ghosts. wanna know my reaction when I got my first Fatebringer? pure excitement and joy. now, wanna know my reaction the first time I got the Gambit sparrow or Dreaming City sparrow? "oh wow, lemme just...... and its dismantled". only thing that really will give me that feeling is getting a Midnight Coup or 1000 voices.

3 RepliesBecause cosmetics used to be a status symbol, but have been devalued because Bungie spams everything with lootbox cosmetics and rewards via rng. In other words if you didn't get every look you could ever want via lootboxes you would care about the cosmetics gotten via challenges because they would have value.

2 RepliesI dont know about rng, but what i dont get... How come our ghost can simulate a sparrow in the tree of probabilities at one point in the strike, but not all the time? And how can the cabal transmat those interceptors on mercury, but we cant summon a sparrow?

You can be as strong as you want to in this game, but you gotta work overtime and weekends if you want to look good while saving the galaxy.

They wanted the meat of the game, the weapons and armor to be more attainable so that more people could have the opportunity to use them. I'd prefer the cosmetics were the rarest, 1kV and Anarchy is becoming frustrating enough without having a dozen more guns on top of them to chase down. I don't equate RNG with earning, I know some people do but I'm not one of them. TLW, although arguably easy depending on who you ask, was more earned than anything dropped by RNG. I've seen people fumble through their first Riven/QW and get 1kV without having a clue what they really did.

Oh yeah. Have all exotics for Hinter and Warlock, have all rare guns, bungie rolls guns from raids, even Anarchy. Somehow can't get sparrow from Dreaming City for Cursebreaker. Lol!

8 RepliesBecause "cosmetics" don't really affect gameplay. Which is why Pinnicle weapons are tied to quests and not RNG.

They really should rework it that way. It just doesn't give very much incentive for doing are game content.
