AKA: Elykris Scourge of Solis Decent/Elykris the Bandit Elykris started with nothing, but she would begin to horde whatever technology she could get her claws on. Human, Awoken, Fallen (Most notably armaments from The Spider), Cabal, anything she could get her hands on. She has also been known for raids on cis-Jovian and cis Martian ships by catching them in stolen Cabal gravity traps. The most notable is the Siege of Arran, a Dead Orbit vessel that Elykris and her scorned crew had hijacked the ship, stole all of the ship’s cargo and either killed or captured any Guardians aboard. Her title as the “Scourge of Solis Decent” refers to a major conflict at somewhere called Solis Decent that saw multiple Guardians killed and the Decent’s armoury stripped bare. At some point, Elykris got into a bit of a scuffle with Reksis Vahn that threatened to split the Barons’ loyalty. In short, Elykris was hording Servitors and Reksis, with an intense hatred of Servitors, would sneak into the Machinist’s workshop to slaughter them. But Fikrul managed to quell the rage between the two Barons and suggested a more productive use for the Scorn’s captured Servitors. Like many other of the Scorned Barons, Elykris would be captured and brought to the Prison of Elders by Cayde and his Six, later broke free from the Prison and witnessed Cayde’s death and would flee from their old hideout when the Guardian led an assault. Elykris would retreat to Salvage Zone QX, located beyond The Boil, and wouldn’t be found until the Guardian had taken out many of the other Barons. The Guardian eventually tracked Elykris to her scrapyard and killed her. But that wasn’t the end of the Machinist. After the deaths of both the Fanatic and Uldren at the hands of the Guardian, the Scorn would attempt to resurrect Elykris in Ether Rituals in both the Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City. Both attempts would be stopped by intervening Guardian forces.
