Enjoy![/i] [b][u]Chapter 3[/u][/b] “Wirven, getting readings of massive arc energy traces. Seems like the Fallen were here only hours ago,” The Guardian spoke to me over comms. “And it seems like Mira was too,” adds his ghost, sending a holopic of a dead and crushed ghost. “The Fallen know how to get rid of our light, be on the lookout for any scouts,” said I, preparing to transmat on the ground. The area was almost out of an ancient movie, where the trees glow and the moon shines through, and the creepy old house sits broken and eroded, maybe haunted by spirits of the dead or inhabited by a wicked witch. “I’ll prepare some ammo crates,” my ghost, Khalid, said as I transmatted down to the hard dirt and soft grass covered floor of Earth. I noticed that Mara’s Ghost on the ground isn’t fully dead, but it’s badly hurt. “Hey little guy,” I spoke to it. “What happened to you? Seems like you got into… a situation?” “I-I thought I d-d-died but… w-where’s Mira?! The F-Fallen attack-” “We know that, Ghost,” interrupted The Guardian, with a stern voice. “Why are you and Mira down here in the MNZ? You know that the radiation is terrible.” “There is no radiation that I am detecting, sir,” says The Guardian’s ghost, suggesting that the occurrence is strange. “Well, Zavala seems like he doesn’t want the whole planet back yet,” remarked Wirven. “Say Ghost, does this place seem… similar to you?” “I… This might be the place that I revived Mira, before her parents were killed by…” he paused. “We need to find Mira. The Fallen took her just after they shot me, and the chatter didn’t sound good.” [i]The Fallen never take prisoners[/i], I thought. [i]Why now of all times?[/i] “I’ll start tracking the Skiff’s energy trails,” I assured. “Good, cause we might be gone for a long time.” Before you leave a comment, or a bump, I want to let you know that if it comes to it, anyone within the Fic-verse (examples are: ShadowheartMC, Ringer-7, etc.), I am willing to incorporate your character at some point in time within this story.
