Hello hello, once again!
This is Chapter 2 of my fan story, Another Side of the Fight. I would like to say that responses are.. well somewhat exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, there are some things I must clear up before you all read this chapter.
First, if you hate fan fiction/stories, then ignore them. Don’t judge others because there’s something you don’t like about their product, as there may be something about you someone can point out. All in all, don’t by a d*ck.
Second, I wish I didn’t have to post in #Lore for stories. Honestly there should be a different place for us writers. That’s just not how it going to work, until Bungie says so.
Lastly, Community Manager Dmg04 stated a while back (for you anti-fanfic/story members) that our stories are ALLOWED, I repeat, ALLOWED, in #Lore, as it is fan-LORE. Idk how unclear that is, but if you have a problem, don’t take it out on the writers of this community, talk/text/message Dmg for a change, if you truly want it.
Whew! That was a lot of typing. Anyway, any good constructive criticism is welcome, and let me know if you have an idea for the story (that isn’t something that is against any of those three “suggestions” made above”.
Enjoy.
Edit: A crossover character has been added to the story. Please re-read it and spread the word!
Chapter 2
My head hurts. I feel like throwing up, but I can’t see anything, barely anything. What happened earlier? I went to pull out Ghost to scan around. Nothing. Then it hit me like a railway train. The bag flew off my head, and I saw four Fallen staring down at me, two Vandals pointing spears, and the other two were two Captains. As an alien anthropologist, my universal language barriers never existed, so I listened in close to what they were chattering.
“We should kill her! She has Light aura still. Can feel it. Stings like hot star,” said the one on the left.
“She will hear speech. She understands Eliksni well. Only she will save universe from the New Whirlwind.”
The Whirlwind?! The Traveller wouldn’t leave, it’s stayed for-
“Guardian, name?”
I stared with terror and also confusion, mixed with feeling safe from the wrath of that blue headed, thick skulled Awoken and rage from Ghost’s death. “You killed my Ghost! You monsters, I’ll have your throats slit-
“Human, please, no need for thrashing. Light-bot had tracker, ship was bad idea, others hunt you.”
“Oh yeah? I removed that tracker myself! And you…. you…” I began to sob. Helmet off, sobbing, right in front of the enemy. They must think I’m weak, like a child, and they’ll kill me or experiment with me, and I’ll die, alone.
“You not safe on Terra, must move to safer planet. We go to Nessus, allies there.” Allies? Probably more Fallen, wanting to dig their claws into me.
“And that’s going to ‘save me’? I’ll be clawed alive, by your eager Dregs.”
“We have more allies than Eliksni. Some surprising, some not. You shall see soon.”
That comment chilled me to the bone, maybe to my soul. Who else could ally with the Fallen? First I thought of the Awoken, or some sect that still serves the Queen of the Awoken, Mara Sov. What was in store, however, would leave me questioning everything I knew about the Traveller, and the Darkness.
The skiff that everyone - or thing - is one feels worse than a bumpy pike. Inside the lives of a skiff crew, Dregs were the ones who cleaned up every bit of blood, flesh, oil, and excrement off the sides and floor of the launch room. One of these Dregs is worthy enough to manage the others, not clean at all.
This Dreg was not, however, strict like the Captains. No, he didn’t care a bit. What he cares about, however, is his bounty he’s on. There’s a cache on one of the three ships that are headed to the wilds of Nessus, out of the Vanguard’s eye. How does he know the Guardian leadership? He has his ways. Assassins and bounty hunters, and thieves, never share their secrets.
