Hello #offtopic and hello to my #gaming. I like to stick with gaming talk and since I got the rule about no Anthem posts, I thought I'd open with Far Cry New Dawn.
I see no one talking about this game and it comes out the week before Anthem. Someone I know that played Farcry 5 said its the same map, but made into an apocalyptic world.
Sounds cool. I watched some trailers on it and it seems pretty cool, but are you thinking what I'm thinking? That Farcry games are too samey (if that's a word)? I played Farcry 4, and I did enjoy it, but when I watched trailers for 5 and now trailers for New Dawn, I'm not that excited about it.
Any thoughts at all on this title? Anybody an avid Far Cry player that can convince me to think differently?
Thanks #off-topic for letting us hang out with you. I always wanted to hang out with the cool kids! 😎 👍

The new RPG mechanics look somewhat interesting, but also kind of like they're trying to do the same course adjustment that Assassins Creed took, witch I didn't care for. Premise looks ridiculous even compared to FC5, although Joseph Seed will be back, apparently.

They've all felt too similar to me. I enjoyed far cry 3, got too bored with 4 and primal. 5 looks about the same. While they're definitely not bad games at all, I just wouldn't spend my money on them.

It looks like something worth trying like a year later when it's super cheap and also not as buggy as a Bethesda game
seriously 5 felt like Bethesda

it was also cool like Bethesda too though
I think I was one of the few who thought the plot twist in the end of 5 was pretty interesting. That being said, I'm kinda iffy on this one. It looks like it's trying to be Rage 2 and so far all I've seen is two chicks on dirt bikes though I'm not sure if they are actually female. Anyways, hopefully but unsure.

I’m not usually a Far Cry fan but I actually enjoyed Far Cry 5 (despite its ridiculous plot). It was pretty fun. So I might get New Dawn at some point if it goes on sale. I’m not that excited about it though.
