While us #Gaming folks make ourselves at home here in #Offtopic (thanks again for that), I figured this would be a good time to talk about other homes in games.
The Hub area of a game is often to closest thing us player call home between our adventures, right? Sure, they don’t always have clear lodgings for us, but they’re that safe place to come back to.
What’s your favorite, or a good runner up? What’s a hun you wish other companies would look at? What would you call home in a game universe?

Edited by BusyBadger: 1/30/2019 10:08:21 PMAs I love clocks & watches and the Thief game series it should be a surprise to no one that Garrett's clock tower hideaway in the most recent game gets top mention from me. A few others hear mentioning though... Both the SR-1 & SR-2 Normandy frigates from the Mass Effect series are great, though she really comes into her own as the SR-2 Normandy in Mass Effect 2. The Hound Pits pub in Dishonored is great. It has secrets to be discovered, NPC interaction with outstanding voice acting and lore items galore. I can't recommend the game enough. The Base of Operations in The Division is another solid hub. It shows gradual interior changes as the base is upgraded, additional NPCs (no interaction) show up as smaller missions are completed and additional dialogue that reflects story missions completed by the player. *Edit : Honourable mention goes to Adam Jensen's apartment in Deus Ex: Human Revolution as, based on the disassembled watch on a table in the living room, he's apparently an amateur watch maker.
