Please look into this. It's so difficult to see in caves etc at times. It's pitch black at times making orientation difficult. its been like this for a while. This is the only game on my Pro where is an issue. I'm 99% sure it's not my tv configuration. If I turn HDR off shadows are as they should be but then the rest of it is not in HDR loviness anymore.

I took a break from Destiny. Pre-Forsaken the game looked great. Now with HSR enabled any dark areas are completely black with no details and are nearly unplayable...
-
This worked beautifully before Forsaken dropped, when they opened HDR up for XB players. Since then it has been really bad. They deployed one 'fix' that made only slight improvements, and since then have said nothing about the status of any fix or investigation for this.

I hate that it's so messed up because the game otherwise looks much better. But yeah, those darker areas really kill me. I've found that there are certain areas where I have to turn off HDR in-game just to see anything. I had that difficulty in the Whisper mission, parts of both Last Wish and Scourge of the past, and a few other things. It's ridiculous. I have no faith that they will fix it at all. Fortunately, I bet Bioware made sure HDR works as intended for Anthem, so...

I have an OLED, pretty much the best that money can buy, and in HDR, destiny two is unplayable. Any other game with HDR support looks wonderful.
-
Yea thats why i turned it off. It legit looks better without the hdr. Plus that weird psychadelic screen that pops up evetytime i log out of destiny when hdr is on..

HDR is messed up on this game. Bungie has been investigating for over a year so don't get your Hope's up that anything will change. I did manage to find a slight workaround this weekend that helps a lot. I would link it for you and give credit, but I honestly can't remember where it came from. The gist of the steps required are below 1. Close Destiny and turn off HDR on your system. 2. Open Destiny and set brightness to 4 if it is not (this part is iterative. I actually had to bump mine all the way to 7 to get mine as good as I've gotten it now.) 3. Close Destiny and turn HDR back on for your system. 4. Open Destiny and go to brightness settings. 5. Follow the in-game instructions for white point brightness. 6. Set black point settings exactly in the middle of the slider (49 ticks left or right on PS4 Pro. Probably the same amount for XBox) 7. Check it and repeat adjusting the SDR brightness in step 2 as needed.

Bungie is already preparing a fix.Wait.

this is the worst "HDR" in gaming ATM.
