So I took a while to come up with different ideas for Lucky Pants - ome of the most cool-looking hunter pants in D2 and one of "those Y1 exotics".
1. Perk remains largely the same, but now landing precision hits also overflows the holstered handcannon's magazine(up to +5 bullets). This is basically Ambitious Assassin. Gives more reason to use two primaries instead of 1 primary and 1 special.
2. Make it Gunslinger-specific.
Such as: Extra shots and duration for GG (+2 bullets and 3 seconds). Not exactly OP, but gives more freedom of picking targets/ad control.
Alternatively, it can shorten the activation animation (that animation can get you killed in Crucible).
Or it can grant Combustion + Keyhole.
3.(Alternative) "Cayde's legacy" perk - using this exotic in tandem with AoS gives a buff (increased wearer movement speed & AoS buff (snapshot/extended range/better reload etc.) Lore-friendly since both of these exotics belong to Cayde.
The reasoning behind this post is that gunslingers need another exotic. Ophidian Spathe is better used with WoTC, Young Ahamkara Spine can be useful, but it's situational (and it limits you to only tripmines). Celestial Nighthawk is still great for boss damage, but if there's no boss, the whole subclass becomes worthless. Tbh, even the 'almighty Nighthawk' can get shifted by Whisper/Sleeper/Thunderlord for melt purposes.
The idea is to make GG more viable, but seeing how there's a buff incoming I guess this can be put on hold.
