It's pretty weird how we have some really good-looking armour that will probably never be touched again because the perks that come with it are pretty meh. Cause of that, we are left looking like walking Picasso paintings.
If you're telling me that it's so that players can tell what perks are on you, please, in competitive pvp, you have only a fraction of a second to see your opponent. Unless you're telling me you can analyse your opponent from head to toe in that time frame, it doesn't matter.
Frustratingly, some blue armors look better than the higher tier ones. Maybe cause they were from the D1 era so they look more appealing but whatever.
AC:Odyssey didn't come out with armor transmog but they heard their community and put it in pretty quickly one month after release.
Destiny 2 has been out for almost 2 years. Still no transmog to be seen. Bungie, what gives?
-
The only good looking armor I've seen in d2 was Age of triumphs armor.
-
I'd be fine with a couple forms of this--You get an item, you can break it into a transmog OR materials. Hell, exotics can be exempt if Bungie wants. Bungie could also put all the transmogs into Eververse (if they're going to keep it). Fortnite, Overwatch and games like them have proven there's $$$ out there for skins, and they could also be offered for bright dust. Either way, this is definitely a missed opportunity, because there's a LOT of cool looking stuff that's worthless, and some ugly shit that's really good.
-
Yup. The sad thing is it’s already implemented in a small percentage of armor via ornaments.
-
I think that would be a good idea but only for legendary gear
-
I dont think we need trasnmog, just more ways to build up a gear set and ways to reroll them. Armor perks should still remain random, but masterworks should be re-rollable ...as well as recov/int/disc maybe. I think trasnmog completely defeats the purpose of obtaining a lot of gear, i mean whats the point of trying to get a god roll cool looking armor set when you can just use an old armor set with good perks and never be inclined to replay stuff for new armor.
-
You're asking this of a company that took three years to put in an adjustable volume slider for music, something that had been a standard feature in even the most garbage games for 25 years. They introduced new emotes and took two and a half years to give you a mappable emote wheel. What gives? There is only one believable answer at this point: they have consistently bitten off more than they can chew, their reach has always exceeded their grasp, and as a result they aren't very good at this.
-
I could care less about transmog if they would just get rid of cores for infusion. Tired of looking like Mad Max or a borderlands psycho.
-
Transmog ruins one of the main reasons to keep playing a loot based game. It is cool for a few months but i would like to see games get rid of the feature as a whole.
-
Because Bungie.
-
Maybe in D3 since it will supposedly be more RPG based. And the way for Bungie to keep people playing/ grinding is to make more meaningful perks and set-bonuses for armor sets. Not just a perk for an entire set, but a perk for two pieces, three, five. Not only would people hunt for the perk sets they want, but with random rolls they would grind for armor stars they want with said set-perks.
-
cause then people wouldn't have much a reason to grind or purchase the new content Bungie ain't stupid
-
I literally rock day one armor when it looks better, right now i have 2 peices and i really could care less . My set up is sword, bow, james bond primary sidearm...because i like it old school and extremely difficult with some rewarding moments...but i gave up on matching exact perks and shit...because i dont want to look like cookie cutter joe guardian or a shambling homeless lightbearer who just got hit by a falling ketch.
-
Why does every piece of armor come with sidearm scavenger or sub machine gun reserves?
-
You need to buy the next expansion.
-
whats trsmorg ???? u can infuse your gear, m8, just check youtube and se ehow u can infuse and upgrade your item

I recently stopped playing and picked up Diablo 3 which has transmog. Never heard of it before, but it really improves the overall feel and look of the game.
-
I pray And pray for this
-
We need this
-
This is another thing people have been asking for since D1. Never. Gonna. Happen.
-
Because Bungie knows better than you and better than anyone else for that matter. Bungie's ego and stubbornness is what is most important here.
-
Edited by Corrick II: 1/14/2019 3:03:20 PMBecause AC odyssey is a box product and they don’t need your money anymore, and was actually critically and financially successful. Bungie on the other hand doesn’t have the luxury of giving us what we want because they need us to keep playing and paying at a constant rate. This is the reason why we have to keep grinding away to get good rolls.

Absolutely HATE having to look terrible just to utilise the good armour perks. I'm either at a disadvantage because I prefer aesthetics in a loot based game, or I have to look ugly as all hell to be on an even playing field. Terrible game design.

Dude.... I can't even share bounties with fire team members yet.
-
I actually don’t want it. I prefer each piece of armor having its own look.
