Okay so this is weird coincidence and I didn’t know whether to add this to off topic or lore.
So I watched the Netflix Movie “The Ritual”. Spoilers ahead so...
Anyway, I looked up the creature because I was curious. It was referred to as a “Jotunn”. Then it dawned on me the new exotic is called the same.
Anyone who has it know the lore on it? Or what a Jotunn is really? How the gun got it’s name or why it’s called that? Just curious I suppose.

A Jotunn is a frost giant from Jotunheim in Norse mythology. They are creatures that are heavily ingrained in magic, able to change form and size at will and create wormholes

From Wikipedia: In Norse mythology, a jötunn (/ˈjɔːtʊn/;[1]plural jötnar) is a type of entity contrasted with gods and other figures, such as dwarfsand elves. The entities are themselves ambiguously defined, variously referred to by several other terms, including risi, thurs, and troll. Apparently there are a lot of Jötnar on the forums.

It says a chaotic force or something... gun isn’t all that good imo.

I think it’s the norse word for giant or frost giant, considering the realm of the frost giants is named “Jotunheim“.

It's pretty much just a giant from ancient mythology. Mostly norse or Viking folklore.
