Sooooooo does anyone else find this Niobe labs puzzle thing kinda dumb? Why does bungie think we want to watch streamers figure out a puzzle?
Edit: this twitter thread sums up how I feel.

Edit 2: another good article about the problems with Niobe Labs

Hmmm, the new content is locked behind a wall, and those not capable of clearing it need to wait and play through old content again until they can play it. This is exactly how the first week of this stupid expansion went down. Really Bungie? You want to reuse content so much that you've resorted to making us feel the exact same way we felt a few weeks ago? You really just do not care about what's best for this game or the community, do you?
-
the casual salt today is REAAAAAAAAAAAAL my god.
-
Very well said. What else can I say? Streamers are cancer.
-
I just can't understand how so many bad ideas can come from one company. Not one person heard this and said " yeah.....that's probably not a good idea". There had to be one, there is no way everybody who works there is this stupid, I mean can you imagine what the odds of that must be?
-
This is the kind of thing that makes Curse of Osiris look like a breathtaking work of artistic genius.
-
People have said Bungie caters to the streamers, and now there is proof. How much time and effort was spent on creating this puzzle for the "best and brightest" to solve for the rest of us? I was excited to get on at reset and find the new forge, but now I'm pissed. I believe more and more, with every new fail like this one, that no one at Bungie plays Destiny.
-
You mean people don't like to grind for the sake of grinding? You mean people don't like 'go here and do this, now go to tower, now go here and do this, now go to tower'? That's a good 2 hours of loading screen time, you can even extend it if you play around in your menu. Quality content there.

It reminds me of the Wrath of the Machine raid hidden puzzle. Except if the hidden secret puzzle was the only thing they released in Rise of Iron, like not even the raid, just that puzzle, with no indication that it is even there.
-
News Flash to all you crybabies. this game was not created to suit your personal level of standards. Glad you can finally cry about something other than nerf this or nerf that. Silly Rabbit Tricks are For kids. 😂😂😂
-
The same people complaining about the puzzle are probably the same ones who dont even try to attempt the raids.
-
So your saying we should watch streamers solve a puzzle. Bungie don't control what streamer do so instead of whining of what streamers are doing. Try solving the puzzle yourself.
-
I'm starting to think we should be able to get a refund. I think I'm about done with Bungie's B.S. I'm starting to go back to Borderlands 2, pretty sad, when I rather play a game that was released on the 360/ps3 era, then play a game this generation. I didn't pay for portal type of game, I paid for a looter shooter.
-
I’m a huge fan of this game and bungie but I kinda agree with op. It would be nice to have something that the folks who don’t play 8 hours a day could be part of. Stash something away where anybody could stumble across it. These puzzles are beyond most of us. So we just wait till “they” solve it. Even the emblems and such. I just watch a YouTube video. More and more that’s what this game is becoming. Not sure I like it. Throw the dogs a bone once in s while ffs.

This new drip-feed model isn't for me. They're trying to stretch out content by essentially time gating it in very small increments and padding it with tedious grind and quest steps. I think I'll probably just start coming back for the first month of each season to play the last season's content once its been released in its entirety, rather than feeling like I need to come back to do a little every week. I know some prefer this model but it just doesn't work for me. I'd rather get a proper DLC content drop all at once, play through it and move on to other things rather than getting what amounts to one new gun per week which is basically how they're tricking people into coming back week after week right now.

I am soooo glad I dropped this game like a hot rock before Forsaken dropped.
-
Just another way to make less look more.
-
I think i'm done with Destiny. I don't like this route that they are going lately. Catering to streamers and -blam!- everybody else. One thing this 2 week content drought has done for me is allow me to play Red Dead Redemption 2 and made me realize how much I miss playing other games and how much time I waste playing Destiny.

Edited by 1karl1: 1/8/2019 10:19:27 PMDid they have to do an effn puzzle to debit my cash when i paid for it plebs .

Complete failure IMO. After finding the lab and trying a few things I watched a few streamers..... Immediately logged off and you know..... lived my life. I used to put my most time in on reset day, this just reminded me oh how much time I’ve wasted on this game and it’s grind just to get a slap in the face. Thanks @bungie you lost one...

So I been doing the forges by myself and now have to depend on a fireteam in order to get in is b.s.!
-
This sure does look like a whole lot of fun and all 😏
Am I doing it right?
-
This is really dumb of them
-
I just want to shoot stuff
-
Bungie has two speeds insanely boring and easy or insanely boring and hard. Where is the fun factor?
-
Apparently there's a boss fight in there and other stuff all locked behind puzzles.
