Sooooooo does anyone else find this Niobe labs puzzle thing kinda dumb? Why does bungie think we want to watch streamers figure out a puzzle?
Edit: this twitter thread sums up how I feel.

Edit 3: from Mayhem420 in this discussion:
The last forge will be available at 2PM PST based on bungies twitter

I wasn't at all interested in anthem until today. Can't wait to see it. If it's even a good as destiny, I'll be switching fast.
-
Lmao good thing I didnt get the season pass.. This game is a trainwreck and nothing like D1
-
the flak they are getting in gaming press is astonishing, immense literally every gaming outlet are slapping Bungie's face after this fail
-
>2 days from now when Bergusia unlocks for everyone and these posts literally fall off the map Lmaooo

Edited by Savage: 1/9/2019 2:40:31 AMI legit replied to bungie’s post on Twitter that this was an event designed for streamers and they blocked me https://imgur.com/gallery/V7Q8NwN

I think I know “why they did”. Now all these streamers are going to get frustrated and worn out so when they finally complete it they go crazy with excitement. Then in the next ViDoc (Bungie marketing speak for commercial) they can include clips of streamers being excited...because that’s what sells annual passes baby. The exciting secrets solved by “the community”.
-
Agree: locking content behind a puzzle that only a few streamers (and their audience) can solve. Would be ok if there was 100’s of things to do atm but there isn’t. Personally I’d rather the long unlock forge quest than this, at least I can shoot stuff and progress rather than waiting.
-
Don't worry! Team Redeem will have it leaked to them so they can continue to be Bungie's poster children.
-
Cant wait to see the statistics that less than 1% of players completed this so the diehard fanboys/Stans in these forums can STILL pretend that this excuse for "content" is okay
-
Legit question: Is there any indications or clues IN GAME for how to solve these puzzles or are players resorting to outside sources and info? If its the latter, thats kind of bad game design in my opinion. Havent watched anything yet so i dont know.
-
I don’t understand how people who come up with ideas this terrible still have jobs at bungie.
-
I get they want to do something that gets the community involved. Watching streamers do stuff and giving them suggestions is not really exciting stuff fellas. It probably only interests people who actually watch streamers and not the rest of us with limited time who actually like to play. (old man voice) I remember back when the AQ raid came out in WoW. An entire zone was a (laggy) battlefield where everyone contributed. It was a battle event, not some obscure Easter egg puzzle. Try making a new big public event or strike. Have completions count towards a global completion that unlocks the forge. That seems like more fun. Fun that everyone can take part in.
-
It would have been fine if they gave us something to do while the puzzle wizards scramble their brains. If the puzzle is expected to take the first day, give us a quest to at least start on until tomorrow.
-
It’s insulting. Why is this a thing. Okay the Outbreak Prime thing was cool. It was a side puzzle in a raid that got us an exotic. But to lock new content behind a puzzle that pretty much streamers would need to solve is a joke.
-
Edited by Animal85: 1/9/2019 7:44:13 AMhow sick must be devs of fps game to think this is fun in fps game i -blam!-ing paid for this content but its locked behind some codes i just will go to my bank and make refund for all i dont see any fun here and who will play this forge since its complete code mess?
-
Super dumb. Been waiting like a month for more DLC content at this point and it drops and is some garbage runic puzzle designed for 1% of the playerbase. Totally understood the dlc would deliver "endgame," but all theyve done here is give us an unecessarily hard puzzle to solve in lieu of actual content
-
Another last wish. 99% of community expected to watch streamers play all day. Great content.
-
Edited by Lord Touch Me: 1/9/2019 7:42:26 AMYeah, I'm so pissed tbh. I expected a dungeon at first, but then Bungie debunked it so I expected at least a cool mission. In fact, Naobi labs just takes the cool additional secret things we all had and loved earlier, cranks it up to 11 and puts in place of actual content, employing the /raidsecrets community to work for Bungie to make it seem like there is content instead of real one. And the whole secret part of it is gone! This is ridiculous.
-
Edited by Jared: 1/9/2019 1:00:37 AMI think they should do stuff like this but without announcing it. That way random people might just come across and the community work together to solve it, like whisper of the worm.
-
Just think the “3rd” season pass is all a “secret” aka time gated puzzles...
-
Every update on the forge makes me glad I never purchased the annual pass.
-
The average player using lfg is not going to spend 7+ hours failing at this.
-
Edited by powerdrive1971: 1/9/2019 7:44:17 AMDear Bungie, by trying to make a dozen streamers/youtubers happy you have turned D2 into a boring game Please stop listening to them. They DO NOT represent this community. We want to have fun, shoot aliens and get loot.Period.Enough of this BS since Black Armory launched
-
Paid content locked behind a puzzle, that u need the right weapons for, and to watch streamers for New low for Bungie
-
I can kind of understand Bungie's line of thinking with the puzzle, creating a challenge in which the community works together to overcome. Unfortunately, the optics of it are just terrible; it looks to be a marketing gimmick to inflate streaming numbers in a ploy to attract attention to their game through popular streaming platforms... What makes this whole situation even worse is that the challenge you created for the community is actually content that customers have already spent money to access. I think things would be different if this were simply a random event not marketed, but rather to lie in wait for people to discover, come together to solve (and thus get the marketing/advertising you want), and everybody can share in the rewards once the challenge is overcome... But this is not the way to do such an event, not even close. Hopefully the developers take the feedback to heart and learn from their mistakes.

I didn't even unlocked the 3rd forge... Why do you guys even care so much about that puzzle? Just go offline and do something in real life or play another game (activitiy) til someone answered all riddles. What's so hard on that? Use your brains before replying bullshit.
