Some of the books I'm going to read this month:
. The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason by Sam Harris
. A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing by Lawrence M. Krauss
. A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
. Mortality by Christopher Hitchens(currently reading)
If anyone has any suggestions on what to read tell me. I like history, philosophy, and science books mainly. And some fantasy every now and then.

If you like Sam Harris you should listen to his podcast “waking up with Sam Harris”. It covers some quite controversial topics and it’s sometimes worth a listen. I do find I disagree with a lot of what he says though. If you’re into popular science I would recommend the following: Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond - A book everyone should read. It’s about the reasons civilisation developed in some paces and not others. How climate and local plant/animal life in a region can radically change how a culture develops. Also check out The Third Chimpanzee by the same author. It’s about human evolution. The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins - About how our genes drive our behaviours to ensure their own survival and replication. The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. An easy to understand book about string theory and quantum mechanics. Written for people that don’t know much about the subject. But it’s about 10 years old now so the science is probably out of date.
