Gofannon Forge Boss wave is painful.

So to start the one I'm sure everyone knows, the Servitors can make each other immune (specifically the BOSS can be immune) and while it would be fine and manageable in other encounters the 2 minute timer mixed with the 2nd issue makes this unbearable, all you need to do is either change the servitors to not make other servitors immune (or just the boss) or swap servitors with a different enemy type (the only way to damage an immune servitor is to super it) The second issue is that the boss will teleport you every 2 seconds the good thing is this doesn't happen every run or even to every player but when it does happen by the time you reorient yourself and try to shoot the boss again you get teleported, this one I can see being relatively easy to fix I recommend "teleport someone at random every 5-10 seconds (never the same person twice in a row if possible if not possible only every 10 seconds) then teleport the whole team every 30 seconds or 3rd of health bar" that way he can't glitch out and teleport us so fast we get nauseous from the ride. I've also seen people complain that they get spawn trapped under the boss which I haven't had an issue with yet myself (I can usually run away before I take damage) but I can definitely see how infuriating that can be, I'd say just move that teleport location a bit away from spawn or even move spawn somewhere else (if you move spawn maybe in the metal tunnel at the back right of the map I don't care personally but it's a suggestion). Currently the only reliable way to deal with these problems is to nuke the boss as quickly as possible which unless your whole team is very high level and the right classes with the right weapons it's not likely and I don't know about any one else but I'm really sick of needing to rely on specific classes or weapons for enounters most of the time. P.S. while i'm at it is there a way you guys can make the batteries pick up more consistently holding the button to pick them up and not actually picking them up gives me the same feeling as my claustrophobia when I'm in a tight space and can't move (so basically pure agony) and I'm not joking it is legit painful i'm fine for the first few but if it happens enough times in a row I start freaking out. (does anyone else get even a similar feeling?)

  • Teleport under boss > Die > Revive > Teleport under boss > Die > Revive I repeated this shit for 2 min before I hit Alt+F4 and damn near threw my PC out the window. I have never felt so much RAGE in a PvE activity as I feel in the Gofannon Forge. This Forge is so damn annoying that I don't even want to play it any more. Teleport Bugs, No heavy Ammo, Sniper Shanks that 1-2 shot you, Servitors making out, Forge Balls bouncing off the forge and flying across the room. It's like it was specifically designed to piss you off. FIX THIS SHIT BUNGIE!

    • Mutual immunity has been a weird thing since D1 Taken King... surprised they never did anything about it even back then. Annoying thing with you need to clear a wave and you’ve gotta mess around with two taken goblins in the corner shielding each other nose to nose

      • Did we really expect anything else? Bungie is notorious for releasing shit mechanics and content because they don't have a team designed for testing upcoming content. They literally just make it and hope for the best.

          Played several rounds last night. Get to the boss, handling our business until they start 69ing each other. What a crap move to include in a timed boss fight. Edit And what is the point of having heavy ammo spawn as a perk if there is never any heavy???

          • So kill the 3 smaller servitors at the start of the boss wave. only 3 spawn. I always kill all 3 of them in 10 seconds then focus the boss.

            • I feel like passing the battery should have been some kind of bonus. Maybe if you pass to all 3 teammates before you throw it in you get 2 points or some kind of buff for 5 seconds.

            • I did my first Gofannon forge solo queuing with 2 others who were also solo queueing (so no communication) and we managed to knock it out the first run. Me and one other guy were 621 and the third was like 614. I'm not sure how the stars aligned but we squeaked out the W. I agree about the bosses immunity nonsense and the BS teleporting... hell if they only made it NOT teleport us, I'd be good with that because it seems to teleport right as we use rally barricade or Well of Radiance and that's BS to teleport us away from our abilities. The battery pickup issue is god awful... it's the whole Gambit mote situation all over again (ever run over a pile of them like 3 times and nothing picks up?) only this time is worse because we are actually having to push a button to pick them up and they don't pick up or the pick up is delayed by wayyyy too long. I might have broke the square button on my controller this weekend... LOL!

            • Servitors should never be able to mutually immunize each other - like, that needs to be coded in that "If Servitor X is shielding someone, Servitor X [i]cannot be shielded by anything[/i]"

                That entire forge is just unreasonable. The entirety of round 2 being “the floor is lava” is just.....pathetic. It’s so ridiculous. Then the boss could not have been tested.

                    • Be 620 and use 2 Wells with Luna Boots. Use Sleeper,Whisperer or Thunder Buddy. Boss is melted in no time

                    • People using sleeper instead of worm and using ikelos or up close supers are what make it tough. Or when people are way under leveled or forget to keep hitting the boss.

                    • Me and a random team got it done ONLY because the boss Servitor back into a weird corner so no other Servitor could shield it ever. After that, just had keep hammering away at health. They need to reduce these boss’s health by like fifth

                    • When I fight the Volundr boss, randoms always stand together and nuke the boss with supers and heavy in the corner. At least the first time I fought the Gofannon boss, no one stood together and when they got teleported they wouldnt regroup. Constantly fighting to get the boss to just look at us to do precision damage. I'm hoping with time people will find a way to make it more consistent.

                    • Its not that bad, I'm really bad at destiny and the servitor boss was no problem and I had two other randos at 611 and 614 and the boss was done with some time to spare. I think we all used the new machine gun, one used chaos reach, one blade barrage and I was a melting point titan. No idea if they took advantage of the damage bonus since the moment I slammed the servitior I was teleported.

                      • I don't mind the teleportation too much, but the double immunity needs to go. I have had multiple games where we couldn't do dps for at least one minute because the boss would make a servitor immune and the servitor would make the boss immune. If they want to keep the servitors as enemies, I would at least ask that they make it so that if an enemy of any type is casting immunity, immunity can't be cast on them.

                        Beat it second time. I solo queued also got very lucky and had a great match for a team. Took me longer for the EDZ boss and failed that 3/4 times before actually beating him. When I tried the mission to get the frame or whatever, I had to solo that eye. That was a painful experience <
