- double checks singe, it’s arc
- checks roster at beginning of strike, one player is solar, the other is void
*sighs* and switches to solar
- starts playing, checks again a few minutes in to make sure one of them didn’t do the same thing I just did, they’re still solar and void
- finishes strike, doesn’t get third completion milestone
- checks roster, solar guy switched to void near the end
If this was not a deliberate troll move, I am confounded.
-
If they want to keep this dumb feature they can at least put a little element icon by your name for the subclass you are running.
-
The milestone should be to use the same element subclass as the singe modifier.
-
Waiting for that one idiot saying, "Just run in a fireteam"
-
Agreed. Poor design. 3 strikes per character per week. Period.
-
Agree completely. It's not only obnoxious always having to check (had teammates switch at the end a few times), but it's one more way we just can't ever play the game how we want right now.
-
Bungie...once again....assuming that people are playing in fireteams with friends.
-
THIS. so god damn annoying. dont worry they might fix it... just give them a year or so.
-
Because running more than 3 strikes is so hard...
-
OMG yes Please as a solo player this is driving me nuts. I join a strike, check other players, none are using Subclass of the weekly burn, SMH, I switch, someone disconnects or changes subclass and I don't get credit please change this
-
Edited by Cinderchar: 12/12/2018 6:34:28 PMMy biggest beef is when Bungie sets the singe to arc and then offer solar bounties. Well played, Bungie. Well played. Funnier yet, I think the week the new pinnacle Vanguard weapon came out they set the singe to solar even though that quest requires all arc. They are the troll kings, no doubt.
-
Even if all 3 players are the same element it only counts as 1 completion. It just forces you to play or better yet talk to people in your group.
-
After I seen that milestone, it really made me question the people that work at Bungie.
-
Just switch at the very end, you can tell their element just by looking at what grenade they throw or super they cast
-
It has never been problematic for me. Just play through and get to the last encounter and switch to whatever someone else is using while they are busy fighting.
-
Change before the boss if you are solo, or run as a team of at least two... make friends, don’t run solo and you won’t have this issue
-
It's their control freak nature at work. If they aren't screwing with players they aren't having fun. Our fun isn't important and we just don't get how clever they are.
-
That’s been bungie MO since day 1 of destiny 2. “Oh you had fun with that in d1?” - no more fun, singe alone wasn’t enough of a bs modifier.
-
Agreed. This is the most pointless stipulation to a milestone in the game by far. Just make it 3 strike.
-
Message them, tell them to not switch subclasses.
-
This. Seems logical to me that you'd equip whatever class matches the singe to make life easier... I'd like to see this requirement replaced with more individual bounties. Zavala has less than the Spider! Also now that so many of us are 600+ and we've got a new power level to aim for how about some 600 level strikes with better rewards?
-
Yea this one is pretty lame. Maybe they could put scoring back into normal strikes, put the name back to heroic and add a challenge for getting a certain amount of points.
-
Agreed, this requirement is so stupid. Also, 5 Crucible matches is a bit much for me now days. I can barely stand to jump in for the daily let alone 4 more for the weekly. I could possibly stomach 3 rounds but would probably just run to the other team to die just to get it over as quickly as possible. Matchmaking is such garbage that it's nowhere near fun anymore.
-
i have no idea how ppl have such a hard time with this to hell with whatever singe it is it usually doesnt matter for the subclass vs how many players are spamming skills or even supers for that matter your energy weapon or heavy weapon can match the singe easily and will get more use than a nade or subclass skill or super i typically roll a solar titan personally cause im still using hallowfire or whatever i have way more options with weapons to match singe than changing my subclass besides if its that much of a hassle to run a strike maybe you just dont like the game as much as you used too and its time you move on if its becoming a chore and more work than it is enjoyable then eeally why do you play?
-
Edited by Dr Livingston 9: 12/11/2018 3:40:37 PMsome are changing their subclass to be spiteful to screw it up for the other people or sometimes they change their subclass probably because they think a different one would be better for the boss fight. the requirement is ridiculous because other players can screw it up on purpose by changing their subclass. I have to take the time right before the boss to check other players subclasses and this takes some time.
-
Agree. There was no need to change how the milestone was handled in Year 1 and Bungie has never explained why they felt it was necessary to make this change. Just re-introduce the Weekly Elite bounties and let that be the requirement for the milestone.
-
If only there was a message system of some sort to communicate with teammates... oh wait.
