DEAR BUNGIE DEVS - REMOVE RNG COSMETIC TITLE LOCKOUTS
This is not ok. The amount of time and effort that goes into earning a title should not be dictated by RNG. Not only do you have to get the right boss to spawn, but on the chance that you do kill it, it's completely random as to who gets the drop out of a team of four players. This isn't even factoring in duplicates or other odd variables. I've been grinding Gambit out for 100 hours. 100 HOURS!!!! 400 games later And I'm still one ship short... Why do I need a ship for a title?!
Cosmetics should have nothing to do with titles! I've completed the skill based prerequisites and fulfilled all other obligations and associated exotic quest. I should have my title by now. I've been in lobbies with less skilled players who own said Dredgen title, how is this fair to anyone? Why does my rng dictate whether or not I earn A title that I've proven to have the skill for? 95% of the prerequisites I completed we're achieved as a solo player. So why does the last 5% require the proper boss, on a full curse week for the best chance, and the hope that it drops the ship that I need if my team kills it?
If you're going to lock titled behind rng, you might as well put them in eververse engrams. Not even the Crucibel Unbroken title has this associated b.s.
Titles should be coveted over the skill that is required to earn them; not the rng aspect associated with cosmetic drops
