I have never seen a game with so much cancer in the last mission and in the final boss fight. I allready play on easy mode because I don't have the endurance to play on normal with this crap combat system, those idiotic enemy spawns and this awefull level design.
If I will ever get throught the boss fight at the end of the game, I will never touch it again.
The story is nice but the gameplay feels so disgusting. Even drinking axid makes more fun.
Edit: Finally beat it but it ended up my character alone shooting ballistic arrows over and over on the deamon till he died while I was absolutely low.

Oh yeah its timeless alright, as in I won't waste more of my time on it.

The Dragon Age series has always had fairly shit combat, with DA2 being the worst offender. But I had the most fun with Inquisition's combat, although I played Mage 2/3 times. Knight-Enchanter AKA martial combat mage was really fun, as was Rift Mage.

I just beat it, and I agree the ending is waaay harder than the rest of the game. My party was dying left and right. I had to keep switching to my healer to get everything going again. They eventually all died and I had to beat the last boss with my character. Luckily my rogue was a beast. There was definitely an unnecessary difficulty gap for the end. But now I'm wondering if I should even play dragon age 2. I remember just being in some crappy City the entire game, it sounds so lame. But I may as well because I'm going to go through Inquisition again

Edited by Bake8935: 12/3/2018 8:30:25 PMThat’s exactly how it ended for me the first time I played it. I also played it on easy the whole game, and when I got to the end I realized I really had no idea what I was doing. The problem isn’t the game, it’s you. You skated through the game and never learned how to actually fight. Play it again on a higher difficulty and learn how it’s supposed to be played. That’s what I did, and I realized how stupid I had played it the first time.

It's an easy fight if you use the armies and you use the tactical overview for your party members placement. A good balance also helps. I also don't think the combat is bad, I wished more of that was seen over the hack and slash we see today.

Edited by Altmith: 12/3/2018 3:11:25 AMThink your build and party make up may have been working against you... sorry to hear your experience fell flat. I loved the section there in Denerim. My biggest issue was making sure I landed the killing blow against the Arch Demon for the cool animation. What did you do with Alistair and the Anora?

drinking axid makes more fun does it?

The combAt hasn't aged well but DAO's ending is the template ME3 should have had

I do not recall having that problem on any of my play throughs... The only time I ever had trouble was trying to fight Flemeth as a dragon. That fight was optional though.

What's DAO?

And it was on console too. Idk what you had issues with but I think this is the first time in history I've seen a comment like this about DAO.

I just started playing it, and it's way more addicting than I remember. Sounds like you're just mad bro. Lol.

If you play the fight as it was intended it is easy. Mages make things super easy. Unless you are max level with your characters with some top tier equipment the last fight will be a bit tough. Lots of battle pausing and setting spells and attacks gets you throughit easier though.

The final mission is easy on easy though.
