Mass shootings: The number of mass shootings in the US this year has already reached 307. There have been nearly as many US mass shootings as days in 2018.

R*pe: On average, there are 321,500 victims (age 12 or older) of r*pe and sexual assault each year in the United States. As of 1998, an estimated 17.7 million American women had been victims of attempted or completed r*pe. And as of 1998, 2.78 million men in the U.S. had been victims of attempted or completed r*pe.

Burglaries: According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 1.03 million home invasions occur each year. What time of day do most burglaries occur? Surprisingly, most burglaries occur between 10 AM and 3 PM. Many homes are empty during this time while people are at work.

Missing children and kidnapping: Every 40 seconds a child goes missing somewhere in the United States. There are more than 460,000 missing children each year. Of those missing children, almost 1,500 of them are kidnapped. A family abduction is the taking or concealing of a child under the age of 17 against the person’s legal rights. Family members abduct children in 1,230 of the total kidnapping cases. A stranger abduction, also known as a non-family abduction, is the result of a stranger taking or luring a child under the age of 17. Of the 1,435 kidnappings per year, 205 were non-family abductions.

Torture: 500,000 in the United States and 100,000 in California alone.
Center for Victims of Torture estimates that there are 500,000 torture survivors living in the United States. Studies estimate the incidence of torture ranges from 5-35% among refugees. By conservative estimates (5%), about 100,000 torture survivors live in California today. Torture can be physical, psychological, or sexual in nature. Often, individuals are tortured because of their identity (ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) or because of political affiliation, religion or activities to promote equal rights, labor rights, and other causes.
What is wrong with us, we need a restart. Humanity is doomed and I think we all know this. And this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our problems as a species. So goddamn sad man. I know this will never happen, but if we could just all love and respect each other and put aside our differences then the world would be so much better. But that's only a childish fantasy. Welcome to America, such a beautiful place am I right?
Edit: This is just the USA as well, don't even want to know how bad this shit is if you add it all up from other countries in the world.

You must be fun at parties
What is wrong with us,
We're HUMAN. Unfortunately, Man's inhumanity to Man is as old as history....and probably older if you look at the violence that chimpanzees are capable of towards one another. The only thing in that catalog of crime that is uniquely American is the statistic for mass public shootings....... .....and the fact that you are deeply disturbed by all this.

At least the country you live in actually “exists”. I could be living in Narnia apparently. https://youtu.be/YtPut7usFbI Probably a good thing, given how dangerous it could be (I can’t talk about the gun bit; that happens in a real country apparently) https://youtu.be/MrRAO_vG_K4

My boner has mass shootings on a nightly basis dose that count ?
-
A restart would be terrible idea. Unless we remembered our past. If we had to restart, forgetting our history, I would disagree.

You list all these so-called “facts” but you leave no sources. No reasonable person would listen to facts without credible sources behind them.
-
Here's another disturbing fact: our President. Nuff said.
-
It only gets worse the longer we don't do anything about these guys.
-
Fact: Our president has been campaigning for the 2020 election since 2016.

"Muh 300+ mass shootings" is a complete load brought to you by people who play so fast and loose with what counts as a "mass shooting" its ridiculous anybody would parrot this nonsense. Really, there's 300+ mass shootings but the media never even mentions them? Really? 300+ mass shootings, like, 300+ sandy hooks?
-
I live in America (Florida) and don’t find any of these facts disturbing. I guess these things happen, but in the grand scale of America, they probably won’t effect you; e.g. you might find out that a family member was assulted before, but it honestly doesn’t really effect your daily life
-
It could be worse.
-
All these terrible and awful things and we're living in the most peaceful times in the history of mankind.
-
Is it bad? Yes. But when you compare that to the total population, it's not that much.
-
Actually the US mass shootings is wrong. They take all shooting cases like suicide, stray bullets and such and count them. If there were that many the news would have field day about banning guns.
-
This is why nukes are a good thing 🤷♂️ Press it...
-
You forgot the oft' forgotten fact that approximately 15% of people are just bald eagles stacked up together wearing a trench coat. And another 5% is children stacked wearing a trench coat. These numbers go unnoticed cause it's something the Government is trying to hide from us!
Ah shit, this is a serious post...
The new generation coming up could either change a lot or ruin a lot. We’ve got a keen eye for this kinda stuff.
-
How is it surprising that most burglaries take place during the day? Not only is it common sense that they would happen when nobody's home (which is why we do things like suspend our mail/newspaper deliveries and leave a couple of lights on while we're away), we have home security systems dedicated to protecting your house when you're not home.
-
It’s almost like we live in a broken world my guy.
-
The mass shooting statistic counts every shooting with 3 or more people, that happens every day in Chicago and Detroit
