I believe it will bring the Destiny community even closer if we could just hang out in the tower and talk with other people casually. #FriendshipIsTheEndGame

I wish we had the old system or a more obvious way for people to enter team chat.
-
This would be pretty cool in all honestly. Just has to come with a mute option for obnoxious people or unwanted noise.
-
Only if I can turn it off.
-
*Static mic sounds* Squeaker at 263 light: "Hey guys we can all do a raid and get some cool loot"
-
If we want the Tower to sound like an Arabian market.
-
Not remotely a good thing. This is a video game and attracts video game fans.....enough said. I get my daily dose of bitch/whine in reality. I really dont want noobs following me around asking "how did you do that?"....nor do I want to unload on someone who cant activate heroic events lol they're better off lol
-
Only if it's opt-in. I don't want some random idiots nattering at me while I'm turning in gunsmith mats and vanguard tokens.
-
You have to love this community. Rather than agreeing with your idea as being good and just disabling it if they didn't like it, all they can do is shit on the idea.
-
I would love proximity chat back, so many good times in Halo 2. "ok guys, we're hiding downstairs ready to attack just let us know when you're close." *entire enemy team rushes downstairs to abush us* We walk in upstairs, plant bomb, win, laugh.
-
Yes!!!
-
I dont know about having it in social spaces due to player density but proximity chat in patrol areas would be sick
-
Just no. Trying to search through the players to find the moron with their music blaring, baby crying, singing, bragging or shouting at their mum like gta is not something I want anywhere near this game.
-
I will reference ESO. Anyone who has ever played that game wilk know what I am talking about. A Christmas Story Ralphie's whiny little brother. Now imagine anywhere between 2-8 of them in a location. Yeah.. No thanks

It’s a great idea in theory but in reality it would be a nightmare. You know those squeakers no-one wants in their fireteam? They’ll be in your ear 24/7 in public areas and those people that want to share their love of thrash metal and rap by playing it over their mic...24/7! Yes you could mute them but legit players would get sick of muting offenders and would eventually leave the channel altogether so the majority of the people you could talk to would be the people you really don’t want to talk to! Also, in my experience the only time players use proximity communication is to troll or tell people how bad they are. If somehow the gaming community matured and used proximity communication to actually help each other it would be a great addition to the game. Imagine how much easier things like EP, Gambit or Blind Well would be if we could communicate with randoms, it might even reduce the edge stacked teams have over solo players. I just don’t think it would ever be used to it’s full potential and would instead be abused by trolls too much.

Also raid
