I wish to hear those words once more Shaxx I really do.
So let's get this discussion going tell me about your favourite Rift moments from D1. I'll start:
So there we all were in the dreadnaught best rift map in my opinion from D1 (Other than the one in the EDZ), shit was going sideways faster than a Cabal spewing it's Biogel gloriously after a headshot.
We got Sunbreaker Titans coming in from the open area to left, Straight ahead we got hunters picking us off with a combination of the Last Word and Snipers, off to the right in the alcove with the platforms of death we got some sneaky warlocks Sithing us with their lightning and voiding our warranty for the spark.
I will say this for a bunch of Randoms who weren't in a party together they worked like a well oiled machine. Then you have us, sorriest buncha misfits you ever did see a warlock main plowing himself into the void by -blam!-ing up his Nova Bomb and hitting the wall sending himself into the void (*waves* not my proudest moment but -blam!- it I needed blink for movement) for everything else there was the fourth horseman, super shutdown extraordinaire.
A Peregrine Greaves Titan with knees made for death...but little in the way of common sense, something ain't right with that boy but damn if that isn't a lovely spine flying from that hunters back...and sniped.
A warlock who wouldn't stop dancing on the rifts goal for the enemy to score, nothing would stop that guy. I will say this man was dedicated to being Lord of the Dance and Lord of Wolves apparently for that one time he decided to do something.
A hunter who used the Kepri's sting and gunslinger to be a menace to the other team you won't see him coming on your radar...you'll just see the slight outline of fire on an invisible enemy as he blows your brains out. Damn that was a fun combo to work with in D1's crucible very gimicky but hilarious when it worked.
Then we had 2 titans in a party, the bubble brothers I called em, you can guess why.
And so our unholy every man for themselves alliance was down by quite a bit...
13000 to about 3000? 4000? it was a big gap to be certain
Did we balk however? No! We powered through and then something glorious happened the hunter broke through, we couldn't believe it, the enemy couldn't believe it and I'm fairly certain our kepri's sting hunter couldn't believe it either as he made a break for his ever dying life!
We recovered in time to notice all the enemy were pushing back to their rift so we did the honorable thing...we shot them in the back a lot.
And when our brave hunter finally made it to the rift and we all standing there patting ourselves on the back he did the unthinkable.
He backflipped slam dunked that -blam!-er into the rift once the enemy team were there to kill him scoring and blowing up most of them on the way out.
Unfortunatelly for us however we were now all on the wrong side of the map and the rift had respawned > _ >
so yeah....we lost the match but damn if that wasn't a great moment for us.

I liked rift because for some reason sniping was more enjoyable and I like sniping. Also snipers need a buff
