(when and if a sequel is released) I won't be playing competitive modes if these same problems persist. My interest in the studio can only band-aid my growing discontent with how they handle the mode in its entirety. A friend compared Crucible to a box of socks to which you've lost all the pairs. Making it work with something partly correct (mismatched socks) isn't the same thing as having it right. As stupidly oversimplified as it sounds, it sums up how I feel about crucible. I've concluded for myself, whether or not it's true, that they aren't enforcing the bans: it would take a chunk out of their already dead player base, and inevitably, someone will be able to prove they were wrongfully penalized (even if they cheated) on a technicality, and the PR will send other players to the winds. Bungie is in a no-win, but I'm not feeling a ton of sympathy for it as it stands. There are and always have been alternatives.
