Not enough weapon perks in the game? Here are some ideas:
Bows:
- Draw time increased, hold longer for increased damage. Similar mechanic to Gears of War reload - if you fire at the right time can do double damage (one shot kill in crucible (one shot to body? idk))
- Landing two precision kills in a row with a bow turns you invisible for 2 seconds
- Killing an enemy without fully charging your arrow grants 20% increased sprint/walk/crouch speed for 5 seconds (would help when an enemy is rushing you and you don't have time to draw your arrow fully)
- Eliminating a major enemy will give the next arrow you fire a follow up of wind force that stuns enemies 5 meters around where the arrow travels or lands
- Eliminating a major enemy grants a spread of 5 arrows in one shot on your next shot, spanning 45 degrees (this would encourage killing the big boi first and following up on the adds with 5 arrows)
- Arrows have heat tracking tips that curve to enemies (slower projectile)
- Arrows penetrate through up to 3 enemies (maybe more because fun?)
Snipers:
- Slowscope grants 25% increased damage and range at the cost of ADS speed
- Increased reload speed as the mag empties (25% with 3/4 in clip, 50% with 2/4 in clip, etc)
- Landing a body shot has a 50% chance to add one round to reserves
- Missed shots have a 25% chance to make the sound of your sniper come from a different direction, maybe create a blip on enemy radar for 3 seconds
Rifles:
- Thicc/Quaking Rounds cause a small screenshake when shooting the ground of nearby enemies, stunning AI enemies briefly and irritating player enemies (best utilized when firing from higher ground)
- Bullets penetrate through enemies, allowing you to damage enemies behind the enemy you're firing at
- Cold Rounds have a 15% chance to slow enemies down (20% slower ADS/reload speed for currently equipped weapon on enemy guardians - switching weapons will remove this effect)
- Clip will automatically reload from reserves if you ADS on an enemy's head (must ADS straight to the head. Won't work when ADSing on body or off target and then moving aim to the head)
Handcannons:
- 20% increased firerate when health is critical
- Thicc bullets grant better target acquisition (thiccer hitbox)
- One handed gun: 50% increased melee speed while wielding this weapon, 30% reduced hipfire accuracy (For SMGs also)
- Flaming Holster grants one burning round to the first shot of the mag after being holstered for 20 seconds (10% increased damage, small burn for 1.5 seconds)
Shotguns:
- Killing 3 enemies in 3 seconds grants 'On Fire': a flaming aura around your body that burns nearby enemies - lasts 5 seconds
- Killing 2 enemies with one shot grants fireteam members 8 Special Ammo rounds to their reserves (make a perk like this for every weapon tbh)
