Telesto is literally the besto! It puts pesto to the testo when it molestos.
BARS.
can I get banned for that? Sorry ninjas didn't mean to break any rules
In all 'seriousness' though, Competitive SUCKSSS. So much wrong with PvP at the moment. Spawns, networking, balance, heavy ammo, etc. It's definitely more exciting than it's ever been, but also more infuriating than it's ever been. However that's simply my opinion. Let's start a discussion, let me know your thoughts on the state of the game. Let's give Bungie some feedback on what we think of PvP.
Side Note/Comp anger/feedback-Also why the hell do so many people have Lunas? Holy crap does that gun make me want to jump out of a window, can't wait to get it.
Edit-
Since this has really evolved beyond just Telesto...lmao... I'm going to post my response to someone that basically clarifies my opinion on the state of the game. Here it is, sorry if you don't like it...
I actually did know about that. I honestly think shotguns and fusions need a range nerf, there's too many OHK's going around right now, they're easy to main and they both have too much range for their weapon type honestly.
I'm not trying to be a nerf herder, but there are seriously some things that need balancing. People are so blind right now because they don't want Bungie to nerf guns into the ground and make the game boring again so, they're scared to say anything. The game in its current state I'm sorry but, it literally takes almost no skill to be good at. Hate to bring in stats, but I'm a 2.0+ player who's played hours upon hours of sweats and competed in some smaller tournaments and won. There's no reason a 0.8 KD player should be winning almost every gunfight against me because his Luna's Howl that apparently a TON of people have, statistically outmatches my gun in every way except range. Same thing with shotgun battles (which happen way too often btw,) as long as neither one misses (it's pretty hard to,) shotgun fights are always going to come down to who had the better perks and stats, and who landed more pellets. Seriously? That's people's idea of fun? That sounds infuriating to me, and it IS.
I understand people just want to sit there and keep ignoring the fact that the PvP is super broken right now, and pretend they aren't getting mad but, it's not fun right now, especially comp. I know, yeah, this sandbox is much more exciting than its ever been, it's chaotic and it has its fun moments but, imagine how much more fun it would be if you didn't HAVE to have Luna's, or HAVE to run a shotgun or a fusion, or HAVE to die to power ammo at every corner you turn. Obviously I know you don't seriously HAVE to use those things but, to be competitive and doing consistently well you HAVE to use those things or find a successful and consistent counter. I can tell you right now that unless it was banned, if you played a tourney right now EVERYONE would be using Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten, there might be one or two guys rocking something different to balance their team for a certain role but other than that...Yeah ...it's just ridiculous...
Edit 2- Made some big edits to the post to reflect more of what I wanted from posting this. Also after dragging my sorry, brain dead, ass through 14 hours of comp I have Luna's Howl. Gotta say I'm not that impressed actually, it's overpowered as hell but it's kinda boring to use. Definitely not as fun as something like HoW Thorn or Last Word.
Final Thoughts On The Telesto Ordeal- After being convinced by a few of you, I've come to my conclusions about Telesto. I don't think it needs a range nerf actually, I think it should be slightly buffed, given bigger purpley explosions, and moved to the heavy slot. As one user said, "They don't use it for fun, they use it because it's a massive crutch." I think there are a few people out there who do use it for pure fun, however, i think those people are in the minority. I think doing what I've suggested would allow those who like to use it in PvE, and for fun would still be able to enjoy their weapon, while those who crutch it couldn't do that anymore.

No, no, no. The gun itself is perfectly fine. What needs to happen is it moving to the heavy slot.
