Oh, I don't dispute anything you have laid out in your initial post. I totally agree that sniper rifles are in a pretty underwhelming place. It's why I never use them. My only real point is I enjoy sniper rifles sucking because I don't get mapped every ten feet and I hope they keep sniper rifles in the exact same place as they are now. Edit: And I would also add that I think players with lots of skill are still slaying out with snipers regardless.
