I feel like this is long over do. But the new Arcstider super Way of the Current, is lacking to say the least. Compared to all of the other new supers we got I would say it's pretty hard pressed to call it a new super.
That being said my conclusion is that they simply ran out of ideas on what to do for new supers and the unfortunate victim of that shortage was the arc class of the Hunters. So I would like to introduce to an idea for a new super that fits the Hunter and is not washed away by the other new supers. I give you…
(yes I am aware the names need work)
The Touch of Lightning
Super: Javelin Storm
Upon casting Javelin Storm the Hunter will throw their usual arc-staff like a javelin. The javelin will do one of two things. First if it hits a target directly it will deal incredible damage, it will also cause a chain of lighting to strike nearby targets much like the arcbolt grenade but with a greater range and damage. Secondly if the javelin does not hit a target it will plant into whatever it hits, it will remain there for about 5 seconds. During that time it will strike any enemies with a bolt of arch energy dealing massive damage. The hunter is able to throw a total of 5 javelins, throwing additional javelins will not affect how long other javelins remain.
Melee: Lighting Rod
Lightning rod is very similar to to the titans throwing hammer in that it can be thrown and picked up again. However if it doesn't hit an enemy it will begin to pulse much like a pulse grenade only much slower, with a smaller area of effect, and each pulse does more damage than the last. After 8 seconds or 5 pulses the rod will vanish and the hunter will have to wait for it to recharge.
1st Ability: Guided Charge
Taking dealing arc damage temporarily increase mobility and damage. Stacks ups to 3x, lasts 10 seconds and will reset timer when arc damage is received or dealt
2nd Ability: Preparing for the Storm
After sprinting for 10 seconds, sprinting will begin to slowly charge super energy and an overshield. Stopping sprinting will halt charging of both super and overshield

👏👏👏👏👏👍

My only suggestion is for tempest strike to K.O like shoulder charge.

Some people enjoy the new Way of the Current.

Way of the Current is my favorite pvp super, but it could use a buff, holding deflect drains your super too fast.

Edited by TopxHealer: 10/11/2018 3:28:47 PMI like Way of the Current. The reflect, while sometimes inconsistent, is incredibly fun to use. It makes me feel so badass. You haven't experienced TRUE bliss until you have reflected an entire Blade Barrage back at 5 people. I think that the powered up effect after you reflect something should last longer or the reflect should actually reflect more projectiles. The melee is something to be desired. It has usefulness in PVE, but in PVP is worthless. If you are running at an enemy and sliding into them, just use a shotgun. The melee doesn't do enough damage to make it worth the effort, nor does it change the odds of you winning the fight with some kind of effect. If Blade Barrage wasn't so powerful, I would only use Way of the Current. I feel underpowered using it in a Raid, but it's so much fun that I can't put it down. I don't like the idea of a throwing Javelin. Doesn't fit the name, ArcSTRIDER that well. Plus your description kinda sounds overpowered. I think it would fit NightStalker better. It could tether those around it. Maybe provide a buff to everyone in the javelins radius or give boosts to any teammates that pass through the javelins. Having multiple Javelins to throw would make it different from Ward of Dawn and Well of Radiance. It would be cool if we got something for that purpose too.

Good idea just needs toned down a bit lol. The super yes i think 2 javalins would be good but when you throw the second is removes the first. Melee ability just a spear would be good no added pulse that would be a bit OP and taking arc damage would increase class ability charge if abilitys are full it increases sprint speed. This is my 2 cents

I'm a hunter and I say no. What you have designed, while cool, would be the most broken thing in the game.
-
5 Arc one shot javelins that do chain lightning AoE damage that last 5 seconds doing incredible one shot AoE damage that each have their own individual cooldown. .....Boi, what the broken OP fk boi joint you smoking? I neeed it
-
I think that the arc staff should be able to reflect in general and the new path should bring back bladedancer but better
-
Like the idea, but the pulsing on the melee ability is a bit rediculous.
-
I liked the new super idea but the rest just seemed a little overdone
-
its literally a better sentinel
-
You are joking right ? Way of the current is Titans sentinel shield but better. It is post like this why Hunters have a bad rep of being the whinny class. Get a amazing new super but say it is bad and want something else.

i like the increased mobility but not extra damage stack. maybe a flat damage buff for like 4 seconds like the risk runner. i like the super charging depending on the percentage it takes off but no over shield hunters aren't meant to be tanks but with all of that said the new subclass is pretty dope and can block everything in front of it. including blade barrage and nova bombs sooooooo yeah
