Last night the Dawnbreakers brotherhood and Destiny lost an amazing Titan. Deriss, aka Joshua Foley, was a military vet, Titan master class boss, Dawnbreakers admin, and information guru.
Deriss joined our clan during Destiny beta days on Xbox One and has been a part of our clan ever since. Even when Destiny lost its light we still journeyed as a group of friends across many other awesome worlds until Destiny brought it back.
Deriss you were our clan’s pragmatic leader and resident smart guy but we enjoyed every moment of your life you were willing to share with your brothers. Deriss took his life after facing many battles both inward and outward. If you see a loved one struggling don’t let them fight the darkness alone because we don’t leave fireteam members behind.
Deriss.....Josh, although Destiny brought us together you’re presence and joy helped make us a family. We love you brother. Eyes up, Guardian.

Sorry for your loss guardians, I've met many people online through destiny, and even though we've not met face to face; I would be extremely sad to lose them as I consider them friends, you'll meet again when your light ascends to the traveler, until then kill the darkness in his name.👏

Sorry to hear this. Ive several vets in my life and the struggle is real. Best wishes to you, your shared friends, and family.

Edited by Banned BRB: 10/10/2018 12:42:20 PMIt's so sad how many people in the comments woke and decided to be a tumor today. My deepest condolences.

I understand that he was you friend and all... and i know alot of you are going to disagree with 1 point im going to make. I as another military personnel, understand the things he has gone through and would thank him for the things he has done. I also do no feel bad when i say suicide is the most selfish thing a person can do. Like i said i know most of you disagree, but i mean really... cmon now. Taking your life literally hurts everyone around you. Your hurting your parents, lover, children, and your closest friends. Knowing that people still do it. Like i understand. People go through things. But there is literally nothing worth your own life. If you have ptsd or depression there are people to help you... especially military vets...

Could someone please post a link to his obituary and is there something set up to help his family?
-
Leave the help info but delete the OP, this has no place here.

Sorry to hear that. Always tough. Depression is real and anybody going through may feel like it’ll never be over. Don’t despair my friends. The light will find its way back into your life. May you find what brings you true joy in life.
-
My condolences.
And SCREW ALL THE JERKS DOWN BELOW! SHOW SOME RESPECT!!!
Make love not war! Maybe that would help prevent suicides of military vets? Don't become a vet in the first place? The Armies of all nations are just press gangs ho work for the rich few and not the many. Another class war victim.
-
May he find in death the peace that eluded him in life. Condolences Deriss' to family, friends and clanmates.
