I went through the Malfeasance quest on my Hunter this week and was pleased to finally get the gun, but also terrified of having to wait for the combination of RNG and grinding to work out on my warlock as well.
Randomly, I decided to check the postmaster after running through some of the weekly challenges on the warlock, and I spied an exotic engram. Obviously, my heart raced with both anxiety and excitement since, as we all have probably felt, it felt likely this was probably my 7th Coldheart or my 4th Lunafactions or some other useless year one exotic, and not the elusive year 2 loot I've been dying for.
I had no idea it would be Malfeasance. Or could even be Malfeasance. Is this a bug? Will the quest even be available on my warlock? Why would a quest exotic appear in the loot pool like that--it seems analogous to getting a Thorn on your third character after wading through the quest on your others.
Thoughts? Is this supposed to happen? Is Malfeasance supposed to come in an engram after one character on an account has done it (I'd wager not)??

Must be so you have the chance to get a higher level version of it

Once you get a quest exotic (I.e chaperone ) you'll be able to get from a exotic engram
