Note: I am not an expert but...
I've kept quiet for too long but can Bungie please refer to D1 for armor and shader designs???
In D1 I made so many satisfying armor sets for all classes because mix matching armor sets was easy. In D2, doing this for my Warlock and Titan wasn't hard but it's near impossible with my Hunter and of course that happens to be my favorite.
- Can we have regular hunter legs/boots? I scrolled through the entire collection and saw only one good looking boot but it turns out you're stuck with gold on it no matter what shader you have. The foosties and other leg pieces don't seem to fit the flow of the hunter shape unless you wear a full set but full sets never look great cause there's always that one piece throwing it off.
- Can we have simpler shaders? You know like [insert color here] black and white. Why is that more than 50% of the shaders in the game so unappealing? It feels Bungie just throws random colors and textures into one and calls it's a shader. Plus it's never really clear how a shader will turn out for an armor piece. It shows all the colors that will appear on your armour but sometimes there's one that hardly shows or just not at all. Seems really misleading at times.
Summary: I think what I'm trying to get at is to go for simple cool designs cause it feels like Bungie is trying too hard to make something unique or whatever. Sorry if I sound rude, just really passionate about looks. I rather look cool than pay attention to the perks and stuff like that.
At most I would like a reply to know that they are considering this or not so I have something to look towards or to know if I should give up hope.
