Currently you can only get the Sleeper Simulant Catalyst as a random drop from the chests in Prestige Spire of Stars, but from what I've seen, not a lot of people really want to do the old raids/raid lairs now that Last Wish is out, and the fact that Prestige Spire of Stars requires curated load outs.
Would it be possible to make the Sleeper Simulant Catalyst available in other activities too?
Edit #1: Ok, to all the people saying "It will be too easy to obtain if they made it available in other activities," You can have something available in other activities without having it be really easy to obtain. For example, look at Exotics post Forsaken, they're available in multiple activities but they aren't dropping like candy.
-
I think it should stay in the activity it is now. If you want it you should put together a raid team.

Im completely baffled by the fact that Bungie put the Catalyst to a Warmind Exotic in the Raid ( which has nothing to do with the weapon itself ). It should have been tied to Escalation Protocol or something Warmind related. Likewise, the Catalyst to Telesto should have come from somewhere in the Reef ( Tangled Shore or Dreaming City ).
-
I think they could add it to Last Wish as well
-
sure its possible
-
They should add it to Gambit just to be dicks
-
I agre, sleeper catalyst shouldn’t be locked in the raid, nothing but raid weapons and armor should be locked behind the raid!!!!!
-
That'd be great. I mean the sleeper quest was almost all on Mars. Seemed to be exclusive to Warmind and Rasputin. Why and How did it end up in the Raid?!?! On a ship eating a small planetoid nowhere close to Mars at all? I'm just baffled that it didnt have a connection to Mars, Ana Bray, the local wannabe worm god from Tremors, or Escalation Protocol. Really?!? Why the Raid? Other than to hide it away from the less Raid inclined. Why not stash it behind 100,000 EP completions? Or completing 7,777 of those music fetch and carry quests in a specific order to ring out the tones of the cabal stomp?
-
If you think getting the catalyst is hard work, you should learn how to fully upgrade the catalyst. Yes it's hard work and it's worth it. That's why these players crying about the sleeper in Gambit need to go back to FortNite.
-
I said it before, I really...really don't want everybody and their mother to be running around with a sleeper with 700 charge time. That...that just sounds wrong.
-
I think, they should put more effort into making diverse 3 man... Humans diverse minds actives quest's, for example the Whisper of the Worm mission.
-
No it's your fault You left during a "dead" destiny period. Get it like everyone else did because we stuck it out for a game we love.
-
That would make it too easy to obtain so I don’t think that will ever happen
-
Nope because it is one of the best catalysts in the game and I think it should be worth the grind to obtain it
-
Just one word
NO!

FFS!
-
Whoa that's a lot of notifications.
-
Yeah it makes zero sense for it to be locked to the raid layer tbh. It should’ve been a quest thing like whisper was. Or maybe has a chance to drop from EP? Considering you need all of the EP weapons to get the catalyst. It’s like getting chaperone in crucible, and then having to do strikes to get the catalyst (yes I’m aware there is no catalyst for it just using it as an example).
-
I wish it was in all Leviathan raids
-
Just add a proper matchmaker for random fireteams 3+3 matchmaking. Or just general matchmaking with requirement to have cleared the raid once maybe?
-
There should be plenty of players still missing the catalyst though. Just do the first encounter, grab the loot there, the bonus chest after and do the "puzzle" with the ball as well - another chest. That's 9 chances a week without having to battle the boss. The first encounter is easy even on prestige unless there is prism as a modifier.
-
I mean yeah its somewhat hard to find groups for it but not impossible... jus do it.
-
Hell to the NO! If people want that catalyst they have to play spire of stars! And thank you Bungie for making it so you can only go into prestige if you have finished normal first.
