Hide Helmet Option during fight
how do you guys feel about this option and why it never made it through game. do you like your guardian's look?
personally i like my guardian's look better than destiny's helmet designs. he looks badass in the social hub and i like to keep it that way through gameplay as well. BUT THERE IS NO OPTION !
edit: kudos to Bungie for this community. its my first post here and people seem friendly.

6 RepliesEveryone saying that wouldn't make sense in a fight... Look at Cayde, Ikora, Zavala, and Hawthorne, none of them were wearing helms during the final battle, and they couldn't be revived 😕

Having no helmet on during combat breaks the immersion, but I also imagine that the devs would probably have to compensate for it by adding facial expressions for being hurt/damaged. That is unless, of course, if folks are content with their character having a perpetually static facial expression 24/7. I’m not against having the option open either, but I personally would never use it.

No. I can't stand seeing so many games, shows and movies have characters walking around in the middle of a battle with no helmet. Not only is it completely unrealistic, but I can't help but feel a little insulted at those tired excuses of needing to see the emotion on a character's face or not being able to tell who's who. I am not a goldfish. It's not hard to figure out what kind of emotion people are feeling in a BATTLEFIELD and if your characters have so little, well......"character" to them that you can't recognize them with their face covered then that's a failure on the writers and/or animators.

i belive the main reason the bungie is not adding this option is the art direction of their games. with Halo, we never saw master chiefs face after 3 games and the helmet in that game was a major part of characters personality. i think its supposed to be the same with destiny. but still why all NPCs are helmet-less? :\

1 Replypeople saying without helmet you would get shot in the head; you are talking about a game with space guardians that can be revived by their robot and can spawn vehicles out of thin air, you worry about getting shot in the head by not wearing helmets?

Guys it can be justified because most planets we go to are terraformed and habitable, and justification for getting shot in the head and not dying is because shields.
