The real name of The Afflicted is Jahseh.
Psychologist: Hello, Jahseh. How've you been since we last spoke? Have things improved?
Jahseh: (A man of few words) No. Things have only gotten worse.
Psychologist: How so?
Jahseh: She's completely gone. From all of my dreams. My nightmares. I can't hear her screams.
Psychologist: How is that bad? That was my goal, to eliminate those things.
Jahseh: I wanted to get rid of them. As soon as I lost them, I lost a piece of me. She was the only thing that could fill a void in my life.
Psychologist: I thought you told me she was corrupt.
Jahseh: That was before...
Psychologist: (Interrupting him) Before what, Jahseh? We've been over this topic. She was corrupt. Why do you seek to keep her close to you?
Jahseh: (Agitated) She helped me, James!
You don't understand. I don't want her close, I just want to keep her safe.
Psychologist: It is my job to see through your lies. I see, now, that you want both, but can have neither.
Jahseh: For once, you're right. I do want her around. I do want her safe. I'll do anything to have her back.
Psychologist: You're running out of time. Anything else we should discuss before my next appointment?
Jahseh: Yes. I plan on violating my bond to see her.
Psychologist: I give advice, and enforce it. I don't, however, want to get involved with any legal issues you will face.
Jahseh: This is my last legally required appointment anyway. You shouldn't count on seeing me again.
Psychologist: I won't.
The note ended there. The police found minimal evidence to catch the man known as The Afflicted. Or, Jahseh.
