Dazzling shards of crystal glassy water populated the lake, forming a giant mirror of crystals, unwavering and undisturbed. The creatures of the lake were in a stasis, not even a ripple of water present. A big group of warriors stood near the edge of the lake, on top of golden pellets of sand. Each warrior stood facing the lake. Robo Owl was the first to break the unnerving silence...
“Water we waiting for? Let’s kill this beast already!”
There was no Artemis here to keep Robo Owl in check. He was free of his restraints, able to make any pun he wanted. Phoenix began to roll his eyes as he turned his head to face the battle-hardened yet calm warrior next to him, MillionBlue. He had a monkey perched on his shoulder, a silent creature with teal eyes observing the lake. Jeff was his name, and he was a clever monkey, always up to mischief but quite a potent force in combat.
“You all ready? Once we perform the ritual we can’t go back.” MillionBlue let out in his gruff voice.
Cell-3 nodded.
“I’m ready to follow my brave team into battle. Let us wait no more!” Says ImmaDrizzit with a confident and echoing voice.
MillionBlue began to crouch down as he placed a white feather on the sand beneath him. Jeff handed Blue a scale of some sort, silvery and shiny. It gleamed with a majestic shine. Blue grabbed the scale and, after dabbing it in a bit of water, place it next to the feather. MagicSpaceKitty pushed to the front, and she held a look of curiousness on her face. Scott was just beneath her, whimpering confusingly as he felt the sand give into his feet...
“What’s with the feather and scale?” She curiously lets out.
“Myst’s eternal enemy is Skyestra, Queen of the sky. This particular feather is from Skyestra, and it is said that Myst has a special aura around each of her scale that make the scale vibrate violently when near Skyestra.
She’ll sense the vibration and come barging out of the water angrier than Jeff without his mangos, hehe.”
The scale, as predicted, began to jump around on the sand, a shine of silver moving around in the golden sheet of sand. A deep rumble could be heard from the water. Bubbles could be seen.
“This is where the fun begins” says Hammerfist as he grips his jeweled sword.

A muddy figure was peering over the water’s edge, stirring it with what seemed to be the butt of his rifle. He sighed deeply as his stomach rumbled deeply. He looked at his dog tag, the chain wrapped around his hand. He took a look at the words engraved on it.
“Cobalt Hunter”
He threw the dog tag in the tag furiously, hitting the water with a plop. He pressed a device on his ear and spoke some words in a tired voice.
“This is Alpha 07, awaiting evac. The rest of my squad’s down. Anyone copy?”
No response came. The figure drooped down, with his hope lost. He felt the water vibrating a bit as some ripples appeared. He looked ahead of him towards the other shore to see a group of figures standing on the sand. The vibrations grew stronger. Cobalt began to worry. The water seemed to grow colder, as his hand became slowly numb in the water. A small drizzle sent mist throughout the area. He could hear thunder in the distance.
Something was not normal. He got up from his squatting position, and he backed up towards the bushes behind him.
