The matchmaking in this game is just plain horrible. I get that if you go into comp playlist you run the risk of getting matched against a full fireteam. However, I never expected that it would happen so much in Gambit as well. I do not think we will ever see solo q's for these playlists which saddens me. I know the most common response will be get a fireteam. Well, I had one and they stopped playing the game because of the decisions Bungie made in the past.
PvP is my favorite piece of content in Destiny and now that I'm a solo player it still is when I'm not facing full fireteams. However, I have come to realization that the game is not for solo players or solo friendly like D1. I love the Forsaken DLC and I commend Bungie for turning everything around and heading into a great direction.
Unfortunately, this is the last stop for me. This isn't a "I hope Destiny fails" post. This is a plea to fix the matchmaking for D2 to be more solo friendly. Until that happens I don't see myself enjoying the game as much as I did in the past. How about the possibility of partying up like in the Halo days? I would say make it easier to communicate in the game, but we have the voice chat option that people never use for some reason.
Destiny will be one of my favorite games and Bungie will always be one of my favorite developers. I look forward to seeing the game grow and wish Bungie and the community the best. Matchmaking is the only thing holding the game back for me. Apologies for the long post, and if anyone has some suggestions I would love to read them.
Also, I play on PC. Figured I needed to state that.
