Riven and the Herlads of her remaining Brethren
This is a speculation about the Nine and what major role they could play in Destiny‘s Future
Do you remember the Destiny 2 Forsaken: Official Reveal Trailer ? Where Steve Cotton and Scott Taylor were talking about that the Dreaming City would be like a twin of both the Dreadnaught and the Vault of Glass and would be raised by the creator of the „Lord of the Rings“ Movies aka Peter Jackson. Remember the Lord of the Rings part very very very good because this might tell us who the Nine are and by who i mean how mighty they really are , you can look at the Video

at 6:30 they are mentioning this exact quote.
Now we all want to know who the Nine are what they’re all about and how dangerous they are , i might have an answer for you guys. So the new Reverie Dawn Armor pieces in Forsaken hint on a Dragon under the name of Riven an Ahamkara Dragon who alot of people tought that their race was extinct. Since this most likely confirmes the existence of an living Ahamkara i went back and speculated about the Myth behind these majestic Wish Dragons and found stunning information. Remember what i asked you , about the Lord of Rings part to remember it very very very good because this plays a major role in this theory of mine if you Google Nazgûl and click the Wikipedia Article and read the first Chapter it will give you a hint on where Bungie took their idea from. It would be a crazy coincidence to mention a Dragon in Forsaken and Lord of the Rings without thinking about the Nazgûl and that there are nine of them.

Now if you watch this complete Video what can you make out of it ? I‘ll tell you. The Nine dark horses are chasing the white horse, it’s symbolic in a way and what is the white horse carrying on his back ? A guardian of the ring/light. The Nine dark horses are referring to the Heralds of the Darkness and the white horse is referring to the traveler.

Super interesting theory. I always thought this was “Game of Thrones in space” but the LOTR theory actually lines up super perfectly... when the Traveler woke up, it was like Frodo trying on the ring for the first time... now the darkness is coming for us. So the traveler is a necessary evil to make us powerful, but we need to destroy it to bring peace back, like Frodo throwing the ring into Mt.Doom. Maybe that’s why Rasputin tried to destroy it?
