Stolen from my brother. King_currly psn
The year is 2014. The memories of the destiny alpha and beta are flooding our brains with excitement. What happens after the first mission? Are there more rarities than blue? We've only seen one exotic the weapon master had called red death. Is there more? We will soon find out at 12:01 am. Nothing else in the world matters more than this day. Nervously waiting in line at gamestop, destiny is finally in your hands. Rush back to our ps4 and frantically jump into party chat awaiting for everyone to arrive. As you check your friends list one by one destiny: earth tower shows up under their names... finally. It's time to start the game. You are greeted with the most beautifully composed soundtrack you've ever heard and the menu transitions into the words DESTINY. The menu prompts you to press x. As you do, nothing can prepare you for the laughs, triumphs, frustration, greatest moments, clutch wins, new friends, enemies, and bonds for years to come. Though many of us will leave. There is just something about obtaining the newest exotics, beating the next raid boss or awaiting cayde-6' newest sarcastic remarks. Whatever the reason may be, this is the game we love. through the droughts, the nerfs, the patches and DLCs. This is our game. This is Destiny.
Edit:
Thanks so much for the support! Lets make this game a hobby again! I love the community!
What was your favorite or most memorable moment of D1 or D2 so far!?!?
Edit:
Seeing the ??? Knights in the cosmodrome was probably the most frightening yet stunning thing that I remember!
Tbh. Forsaken feels like a new game!

Ah, i remember getting shat on by the fallen walker at the end of the sepiks prime strike. Battled that -blam!-er for a good hour before our fire team finally killed him. Good times...

Edited by coltsrock11: 9/5/2018 5:41:15 PMThis gave me nostalgia. Wish I could go back to that time in high school where I had no reponsibilities and could grind all night long

That first dive into Vault of Glass was truly a unique moment in gaming. Great memories.
-
I loved the feeling of jumping straight into the hellmouth and falling for what seemed forever, until I get squished by a fireteam member's boots...
-
The question is, will the Forsaken trump The Taken King.
-
The ?? Knights got some major payback throughout the years and every anniversary from the day I found them, launch day, I went back and beat the living snot out of them with each character and every subclass they each had. I dont know how many times they killed me because I thought I needed to approach it differently. I remember the first minotaur from the vex too, how menacing they were. Not close to the ?? knights though.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 9/4/2018 2:00:52 PMBeta/Y1 Guardian Lone Wolf (Edit, I misquoted - when I can find the video with the proper quote, I will post it) the huge Ogre (over the Dam wall) in the Divide(Cosmodrome), the ??? Knights & ??? Wizards in the Grotto The atmosphere, the gunplay/handling was spot on The 10 year plan was intriguing D1 Y1 was a far better game than D2 Y1 ever was Even with the DLC quality, D1 had its strike list, Raids, chasing exotic weapons, random rolls, levelling faction, IB etc As infuriating as it was in places - I never got bored/gave up hope of it achieving greatness it still left off in Y3 in a good place (it's still a better game than D2 Y1) (Sadly Bungle started chasing more profit) D2 vanilla was a dire reboot, lacking in both atmosphere, depth, replayability & charm, (Bungie showed no respect for D1 players) ....what followed (Osiris/Warmind) were both insulting/weak DLC Forsaken is the last roll of the dice It better be amazing (and not just for a week ....but still feel strong in 6-8 months time)

Being part of the first 5 fireteams to get to Crota. Then try to figure out for hours how to kill him. And my first hard mode VoG run and got Fatebringer. Not even knowing it's potential at the time.

Im going to laugh....AGAIN....when everyone clears the forsaken story in a day and its back to grinding public events and the Leviathan. You people never learn. Oh and chasing catslysts that never drop, and running out of ammo, and laggy ass pvp, ah but those are all glitches that Bungie knows about you idiot! Yes im the idiot. Ill be waiting.

Game is shit.

To be honest every whisper carry I have done! Their reactions are priceless... community that needs more guardians then scammers

There was no party chat in 2014. Starting at beta I really miss those first days... ✌🏻

I remember loading up D1 on launch day. I was never so excited for a game before. My brothers showed me what Destiny was. I remember all the raids, laughs, fails, rages and screaming when I finally got that last piece of raid gear. I remember buying like 20 Mida’s when Xur sold them. D1 was a trip and I’d love to relive it.

BACK UP TERRY!
