I'm going to start by saying that my experience with Lockdown was fairly good. It felt different and I really liked it. That being said... It has a downside. And that's basically the kind of maps it should be played on. Basically the main thing I saw that didn't seem to work for Lockdown was when it was played on a small map... namely Burnout. Burnout; and any map that is close to as small, just doesn't work for this gametype. It's WAY TOO EASY for a decent team to get a few kills, have the numbers advantage while the other teams' downed players wait to respawn, and just cap all three zones while those other players are just spawning back in on the sides of the map somewhere trying to get back into the fight. I was in a fireteam of three and this happened to us anyways. I died and my buddy died and we both were in the middle of respawning when our third guy and the random fourth guy got overwhelmed and died as the other team capped all three zones and pulled out the instant win only a couple of minutes into the match. Obviously small maps just are NOT good for this game mode. It's too easy for a team to cap all three zones while the other team has players respawning and re-orienting themselves. Just letting you know what I witnessed with my own eyes while playing Lockdown when it was here. In the future I hope this comes back and the "small map" problem is fixed. Either by only having certain maps for this gametype. Or maybe by (HOPEFULLY) the introduction of newer BIGGER maps in Forsaken. Which Crucible needs badly just in general since we have 6v6 now. Or maybe a combination of both. Thank you for your time. God Bless.
