”Queen Valk was just a young girl, wandering the streets of Valkyr town. Tales say she used to wander the streets, looking for mercenary work at the age of nine. Her mother had dissolved into a pile of colorless embers by Alphos. She had died a valiant and brave death, swinging her axe at Alphos’ chest. Her last words to her young mercenary daughter were memorable for her: “Stay away from home.” Her father was addicted to DarkBrew, a very heavy substance. His mind became muddy, his actions became suspicious, he wasn’t himself. He began cussing out his wife and daughter, threatening to burn the house down when she left, with his daughter in it. Valk remembered that evening. After that night, after she saw the flames consume her house, after she saw her dad laugh maniacally. She had escaped unnoticed, and she had no place to return to. All she had was her mother’s sword, which she had stocked in the basement ever since she had finished her warrior training. Valk wandered the streets, her sword, “Flesh Splitter”, at her side. She became well known as she began to take harder and harder jobs, slaying basilisks and wendigos. The queen at the time, Reyna, took notice of her skills. She ordered the guards to have her captured and put into the military force by the age of fourteen. She tried to resist the attempt, but she was eventually put into training. By the age of nineteen, she was ruthless, emotionless, and a killing machine. She had nothing left to lose, and she cared for no one. She isolated herself from others, making her a social outcast. She focused on training, planning her vengeance. By the age of twenty, she was sent out to slay a menacing Lesser Dragon, Slavastia. This was her final task as an apprentice, and if she survived, she would be promoted to Warrior status. She ventured out, tracking down Slavastia. Eventually she met the Lesser Dragon in an abandoned cave, and in a lengthy duel, she decapitated the dragon with Flesh Splitter. She had suffered terrible wounds, mainly in her chest. She bore a huge gash, vertical on her chest. After being promoted to Warrior status, she rose through the ranks, but continued to be a social outcast. When she had become a captain, she was still ruthless and violent, and unwilling to cooperate. That was, until she met Sharlot, an apprentice assigned to her. It was then that she had experienced the feeling of caring. She trained the apprentice to be a worthy Warrior, and the two became friends. For once, Valk had a friend she could share things with. She felt better, less violent, less ruthless. That was until Sharlot was impaled right in front of Valk’s eyes by Zhul-Gamma. Valk watched in horror as Sharlot uttered her last words, being lifted up info the air slowly: “You’d make a good, caring, queen, Valk.” Those words had impacted Valk, almost as much as her mother’s words. She decided to retire from the military, and she ran a small fencing school. She learned more about caring about others. She enjoyed the feeling, training young men and women. When she was thirty, she decided to run for the position of Queen. By this time, she was not known as the ruthless warrior, but the caring teacher. She won by a landslide in the election, and now, with her caring eye and her sword, Flesh Splitter, she watches over Valkyr Town.”
