Saw a Stormcaller with an Arc Special and Void Power weapon yesterday. It's Solar Singe week... And the challenge was about Voidwalker's Bloom iirc. Dafuq. He used the super only once, too.
Such people give me a headache. Same for people who sit on their supers forever. I wish I could understand why someone chooses to be so ineffective. The reasoning behind it. You can use whatever you feel like in the world outside of Strikes, Raids and EP. You know, when you're solo.
But in a Strike? Holy shit please try to be more effective, with the elemental buffs given to you. I've never seen a player using other elements with a high kill score, so noone can argue about being still effective. No, you're not helpful!
You just slow yourself, and more importantly, the other two players down. If you're so attached to a certain non-exotic weapon just pay 5k glimmer and change the elemental mod. Maybe they have a solar weapon but it's 360 and not 380? Doesn't matter anyway, use the solar one.
And yes, a shield explosion due to using the corresponding element is nice, but it doesn't outweigh the damage loss from not using the Singe.
You see, I'm really trying to understand. But I'm afraid there's no real good explanation for those people. Because, for the most part, they're also the ones sitting on their supers. Dying. Doing no damage (I've seen Bracus Zahn all phases, both orbs had to be used LUL) and finishing up with one third of my kills.
That was a long text, sorry about that but I just had to get it off my chest.
