Saw a Stormcaller with an Arc Special and Void Power weapon yesterday. It's Solar Singe week... And the challenge was about Voidwalker's Bloom iirc. Dafuq. He used the super only once, too.
Such people give me a headache. Same for people who sit on their supers forever. I wish I could understand why someone chooses to be so ineffective. The reasoning behind it. You can use whatever you feel like in the world outside of Strikes, Raids and EP. You know, when you're solo.
But in a Strike? Holy shit please try to be more effective, with the elemental buffs given to you. I've never seen a player using other elements with a high kill score, so noone can argue about being still effective. No, you're not helpful!
You just slow yourself, and more importantly, the other two players down. If you're so attached to a certain non-exotic weapon just pay 5k glimmer and change the elemental mod. Maybe they have a solar weapon but it's 360 and not 380? Doesn't matter anyway, use the solar one.
And yes, a shield explosion due to using the corresponding element is nice, but it doesn't outweigh the damage loss from not using the Singe.
You see, I'm really trying to understand. But I'm afraid there's no real good explanation for those people. Because, for the most part, they're also the ones sitting on their supers. Dying. Doing no damage (I've seen Bracus Zahn all phases, both orbs had to be used LUL) and finishing up with one third of my kills.
That was a long text, sorry about that but I just had to get it off my chest.

I use Top Tree DB as a Saving Grace. Very useful. When last Guardian and in a Bind, I simple pop and fly away, constant dodging. In mid air.

I've msgd people using dual void smgs n a void sword n arcblade, when it's solar n blackout n said 'dude wtf', n they reply n say 'what are mods?' I go back to D1 stats where only 29% of the 33 million players ever equipped an exotic (gun or armour), meaning 23 million players didn't know xur existed! There's very little in the game to explain things, so kinda blame the player a little, but as usual blame bungo

Had a guy with Lens last night... It's HS is Solar Singe... He just used Origin Story the entire time and kept fcking dying while in Voidwalker. So I sent him a message to start using the Lens or something to not make him die so dam fast... I send, then sit back as he stops, pulls his ghost to which I am assuming he went to the park menu... And then watch as he gets destroyed by a Shield Knight.

Same with a guy dying nonstop, it's grounded, so it watch him, jumps floats dies, repeat. I msg him after his 42nd death n said dude stop freaking jumping. He replies why would I stop jumping? I explained grounded, he's no idea, ok he says I'll stop jumping. Next 3 mins he died 7 times, BY JUMPING + FLOATING
