Sometimes they're the instigators of entire plots, sometimes they give us stats, sometimes they give us spells, sometimes we read a page of one taken randomly off a shelf, sometimes we collect and read them in full, sometimes they're just window dressing to a level. Elder Scrolls is no doubt the best when it comes to lore books. There was this nice story I read once about a merchant heading to Black Marsh. Was really interesting! Vampyr had some interesting lore books, but they were all really short. I hope that if they make a sequel/DLC we can find longer ones. I want to know more about these vampires! Spoilers, you’ve been warned. [spoiler]On the topic of DLC, I’d love one where you get to play as Mary. In her brief appearance, she already had some unique powers that Jonathan didn’t have. On that note, she was also the [i]only[/i] vampire with unique abilities...[/spoiler]
