Wow, everyone including me is very excited about the new collection menu.
It gets finally rid of the Vaultspace problem.
Oh wait, does it really.
So we collectors and completionists are curious about one thing.
We collect not only items but we also collect Statistics.
So looking up weapons we know are Masterwork Items, we see the Enemy killed by it via a counter.
If i decide to disassemble those weapons and after a while want to use this weapon again,
I can use the new upcoming Collections Menu to craft it out of there/ buying it back, or what ever we might call that.
BUT what happeneds to the "Kill Counter"?
Is the Kill counter now resetted to ZERO KILLS?
Well if it is, The collection menu is not the biggest invention to come. Because we collectors like to have high numbers also on our weapons.
I mean, look theres a lot of People having over 30k kills on Better Devils alone or much higher numbers. And a lot of kills on other weapons too we like to use.
Can we see the Killfeed on the Collections Menu too, before we want to craft again one item we disassembled before?
Can Bungie confirm we dont lose our "Kill Count" on disassembled Weapons?
or in another question...
Are the Statistics lost forever if we disassemble Weapons?

The kill count stays if you disassemble a masterwork exotic, then apply the masterwork to a new example of that exotic. I think. I noticed that once. So this should work the same way. Hopefully.

Edited by TheHero: 7/5/2018 10:50:42 AMWe really need an answer to this. Its hillarious what kind of Sh it storm can happen after Bungie told us to safely delete all items gained after release of Warmind to clear up Inventory space. Missing Vital information about deleted items will / can bring an uproar in September. So please Bungie, what happeneds to the Killcounter on the Weapons we deleted and want to get back out of the Collection menu again. Also a Thread for itself would be the question if Exotics / items gained by levelup from the TE Shop must be paid for in Dust when after we deleted em to get space and want to get em back out of the collection menu. Are they even then regainable out of the collection menu? But this would be a thread to discuss elswhere. First lets concentrate on the Kill counter of mentioned Weapons.

Edited by TheHero: 7/4/2018 9:10:10 PMSo far, nobody can say with proof that the Kills on Weapons will be saved somewhere. When we build a previously disassembled Masterwork Weapon out of the NEW Vault Collection Menu we dont know for sure if the Kill Counter will have the Count from that point where the specific Weapon was disassembled. I am sure that it is possible to programm it into the game. That the Counter for the Kills is saved along with every other Stats we ever achieved in the Game. You only need to have the original counter beeing saved somewhere in the Database. And when a Masterwork Weapon will be build from Vault the weapon gets the Link to the Database Killcounter for that specific weapon. Its like linking a picture a thousand times. Why shouldnt it work out like that? It is possible. We like to have our stats on the Weapons. And to help us with cleaning up our Vault and inventory, especially for us collectors who see Destiny as a hobby, we need you to make it happen that the Kill stats are not lost. We collectors would be happy and our Vault/Inventory is not anymore such a mess as it is now, if you make it so. In the current state i have 299/300 and have to push around items every time when i change characters to use tihs or that loadout in armor and weapons. Its tedious and takes around one hour per day playing this Menugame or Logistics Manage Game in Destiny 2. SAD!!!! ;(

vault masterworks weapons. /thread

At this point they should just keep a running tally of pve and pvp kills across all characters for every weapon in your vault or collection. I don't even know why they really separated them to begin with. If Charlamagne can track all this information I don't know why Bungie can't just do it in-game for us.

If I had to guess, not only would you not keep the kill count, it wouldn't be a masterwork weapon either. You could get another better devils, because you have had it before, but its a new better devils, so there is no kill count on it, and it wouldn't be a master worked better devils.

it seems 17 September will be a sad day to come ;(
