Other than damage buffs, what would you recommend adding to the two weapon classes to make them useful?
-
I like high stability burst fire sidearms a lot, they make fantastic hip-fire weapons.
-
Both are extremely useful in PVP --- Have over 1000 Kills with my Play of the Game and over 3000 kills with my last hope. I don't use sidearms in PVE as I always run out of ammo.
-
Side arms are already useful, GLs are good in pvp, need more ammo in pve. Do you think heroic strikes are hard and EP needs 9 players as well?
-
Not bad weapons but note that they are made with pvp in mind. There are no sidearms or GL's that can be considered amazing to use in any pve encounter (not including Rat King). GL's need to be set to the energy slot in forsaken if the fusions are to be set there. I can understand some exotics but the GLs would be a lot of fun and make more sense to not be considered heavies. That may give Bungie some room to bring LMGs back!!!

In my personal opinion as a player, I think they're in a good spot, so they only need small tweaks. For Sidearms, I wish for more handling overall. As Bungie explained back in Destiny 1, Sidearms still feel that they are designed to be small, lightweight guns that you whip out to finish off a weak enemy, so you need to be able to switch to them fast. It feels odd that my Guardian takes longer to pull out a small pistol, than to switch to a heavy Hand Cannon or even a Rifle. Single-Shot and Full Auto Sidearms might need an extra clip or two, or increased ammo drops, to help the players who really want to play Sidearms as a primary weapon. Grenade Launchers have good damage and are designed for area denial and picking off weak targets (at least I believe that's the idea behind them). Single-Shot Grenade Launchers are absolutely fine in my opinion. Drum-Fed Grenade Launchers might need an increase in inventory size (the amount of ammo you can hold in reserve), and a small increase in how many ammo you pick up from each brick of Power Ammo, but only in PvE. I just don't like it that I have a few Grenade Launchers where I can only hold two magazines in total (say, 6 in a mag, do 12 or 13 total), and whenever I pick up ammo I only get two grenades. I like simple numbers anyway, so I'm not too fond of the fact that I have two magazines and then one or two single Grenades in reserve. Just give me three entire mags.

Single shot grenade launchers are pretty good. U get 7 shots to open an engagement, direct hits ohk and u swap to a primary to finish. Increasing precision damage or making swapping to primary faster would be the ideal perks but not necessary. Multishot grenade launchers could use a bit larger mags or blast radius maybe. Sidearms need to be MORE accurate when adsing not less accurate. Maybe equal accuracy but definitely not less accurate like they are now. Full auto and single shot aren't really usable bc of recoil and they shoot faster than u can pull the trigger and stay on target with and the range is so short they should melt up close more than they do to use them over an auto, handcannon, or sub.

Play of the game and last hope are my go to guns in pvp. I like where both of them are a great deal.

Noob tubes should be taken out of the game.
-
You should be able to equip or use two sidearms at the same time, go all John Woo on the baddies.
-
Max handling for all sidearms. Give all nade launchers proximity detonation... Boom...now people will use them.... How has bungie not thought of this yet?
-
Single Shot Grenade Launchers being in Special/Energy slot (but this won't matter in Forsaken). Sidearms having a larger ammo reserve.
-
Ummm. You should probably play a match or two.

A pinch of aiming and a dash of basic skill. They're not bad weapon types, on the contrary they are some of the best weapon types out there.
