Players looking to try Destiny 2 for the PVP experience should be able to try it without having to commit to the entire D2 experience. Adding a F2P Crucible-only demo could populate the PVP modes and give prospective D2 players a chance to evaluate the PVP experience [u]before [/u] buying the game. Also, giving the Crucible a more accessible and prominent position will save players time (going to the Farm, talking to Shaxx, getting in orbit again) and possibly even significant issue (detailed below). The Crucible is not playable until completing story mode quests. This can easily bring your level past 8 and make you ineligible for a refund from Battlenet. (Yes, Bnet customer service told me that all of my characters must be level 8 or lower to get a refund) I bought D2 because the PVP looked interesting. I uninstalled because it is [b]the most laggy multiplayer game I have ever played[/b]. [u]Players will commonly warp/teleport, missed shots are counted as hits, and players will trade kills in hitscan fights. [/u] The current state of lag compensation and hit detection in D2 is [u]absolutely unacceptable [/u] for a PC game - Quake set the standards a long time ago and [i]we know[/i] that it is unacceptable. There is no other PC game where this is the norm. Until the netcode/server issues are fixed, my money is sitting in the garbage and Bungie is wasting a [b]potentially excellent[/b] PVP game.
