Playing PVP = ineligible for refund on Battle.net

To unlock the ability to play PVP you must have completed multiple main quests, bringing your character's level up close to level 9. This is DANGEROUS if you are unsure about the game because every character on your account must be level 8 or lower to be eligible for a refund from Blizzard/Battlenet. If, like me, you wanted to try to play Destiny 2 for the PVP, you must be careful to avoid this pitfall. Suggestion to devs: A free PVP only demo would increase PVP playerbase and allow for potential players to understand how the game measures up to expectations . My story, I bought Destiny 2 for the PVP. I had seen the reviews and understood that the story mode wasn't my cup of tea. Consulting with multiple D2 community members (through streams and video guides) made me aware that the best way to get into PVP was to finish the story mode before trying PVP. This would give me the levels on my character necessary for unlocking abilities and it would also give me the essential gear/items to be competitive. After completing the most essential story mode activities and reaching level 20, I set foot in the Crucible. The first thing that I noticed in PVP was that you could kill someone with a hitscan weapon and then they could kill you with a hitscan weapon. I continued to play, trying all the items I had, every weapon type, and every armor perk available. Nothing could distract me from the warping enemies and laggy gunfights. After an hour I quit to desktop, uninstalled, opened a ticket for refund, and opened Quake Champions (of which I have a newfound sense of appreciation for). The netcode in Destiny 2 is unacceptable for an arena FPS. Since the first Quake game, lag compensation/netcode that results in absolutely zero kill trading from hitscan weapons has been the norm for computer games. It is fundamental to the FPS genre. I absolutely love the art, design, character building, and tuning of item load outs in Deastiny 2. I really wish I could've stayed to play. Good luck to you all.
