Polaris Lance Catalyst
Is the Catalyst broken for everyone? Just yesterday I heard someone Talk about how the masterwork wasn't Acknowledging his Perfect Fifth kills and now the same thing is happening to me, He said that he is for sure of getting at least 25 kills with it and now I at least have 3 yet none of it is showing in the Masterwork, I've worked so hard to finish this quest only to get a broken masterwork. I'm hoping I'm wrong and that I'm doing something wrong. But please help.

Really is not that hard ..... 2 hour grind and there you go ,...... Getting sleeper was waaaay worse

It’s not broken you just need the right venue. Use the yellow bars at the beginning of the leviathanfor this. It’s easier to work them down to the right health to deal with the explosion and have the burn kill them.

Shoot 4 in the head. When you shoot a fifth in the head, he farts and the one next to him gets a bit annoyed. Repeat 50 times or until terminally bored.

4 RepliesEasy guide. Load into leviathan. Go to castellum Find phalanx (there are 2) Shoot crit on shield to charge the 5th shot. Shoot any other full health cabal in their critical hit spot. (1 charged shot will damage the cabal enough to kill it with the burn). Repeat 50x. After that kill the remaining 400+ enemies you need to kill.

As stated below it is the burn that counts for the 5th shot kills. the screwed part for me is I finished the catalyst and it would apper to me from the description that now it should have firefly where every crit shot should cause the explosion. Well you still have to wait for the 5th shot, so NOTHING has changed from the basic model. Broken, Bungie please fix

This has got to be the most ridiculous catalyst yet the explosion isn't big or strong enough to kill the adds from burn damage

3 RepliesThe explosion can’t kill them. The -blam!-ing burn has to which is dumb as fuk. They need to patch that shit. Most enemies can survive the explosion

The game only counts kills from the burn after the explosion. Hope I could be of help. I don't think it's working as intended l.

As mentioned by alcatraz699, it has to be the burn. Hopefully they'll fix this soon, because it definitely doesn't say that on the Catalyst, which seems to suggest this isn't intended.

The best way to do it I've seen (and which I used) is to go to the Castellum on the Leviathan. Get 4 crits, then hit a fresh legionnaire with the 5th round. He will die from the burn if you crit hit him. It is even better if you use shield crit hits for your 4 crits, so you don't damage legionnaires that could be used for the 5th hit.
