Hi Bungie community
I'm in a similar state to a lot of people out there. My clan mates have all pretty much stopped playing D2 as of November, so I've gone from doing three raids on a Friday night to none at all. I've never run any raid lairs, but have recently started finding fireteams on Discord. It's just not the same without my fireteam.
This morning, one of my friends came up with what I thought would be a fair compromise and gesture of good will from Bungie.
He said that he'd only return to Destiny if they made Forsaken free to try out. So not completely free, but say a 2 week free trial, maybe with some level caps so he could try out the changes to see if they've delivered what was promised. If everything is there and the changes are good, then he'd happily buy the expansion to continue playing PvP, the raid and other end game content.
Wanted to post this here in the hope that the suggestion does make its way to the drawing board.
Please Bungie, "I need my fireteam".

Edit
Also, just thought, if all the things mentioned on the roadmap for September are general quality of life changes, then they should be available in all versions of the game. So to see if the changes are good, all we need to do is load up the current version of the game on September 4th.
Is this true?

You’ll be able to try many of the changes without buying forsaken.

Everything on the roadmap is available to all players so there's all you need to decide if you want more content to play.

I think this is a good idea.. Maybe not two weeks, but just a week. Alot of my friends are not even considering buying the DLC due to the lackluster results D2 have been. So something for them to test out and see if things have improved or not, would be nice. Think it would get alot of people to return to the game if the DLC is genuinely good.

Let's see if bungie can play that gamble. I want proof that they're not pulling another bungievision move

No! If your friend or yourself want a free trial of the new DLC, watch twitch, mixer, or Facebook gaming. That’s a free trial.

Edited by Sir.Cabbage: 6/6/2018 5:26:23 PMthat is a very good idea! considering all the crap bungie has put us through with destiny 2 they could afford letting us try the dlc before we buy it. the only reason i can see against it is if there is something they dont want us to know, not like spoilers, i mean like something real BAD such as aggressive micro-transactions.

Edited by Xc_LuxZenRa: 6/7/2018 3:13:01 PMFree trial would be dope like an mmo does. 1 week or weeknd to try it out. Edit: there would have to be a catch though...like if it was free you don't have access to certain things because you might be able to complete the game without buying it with a trial like FF reborn...LOL
